    As much as a goal-machine van Nistelrooy was, Thierry Henry takes this title IMO.

    Henry was totally majestic at times with the ball at his feet, and was also a goal-scoring conqueror.

    well Ruud was all about goals, but in the 5 years he was at United, Thierry won the Golden Boot 4 times, add that to the allround of Henry, and this is a no contest

    Was looking through some of the Prem stats the other day. The one that jumped out of me most was Henry having 23 assists in the 02/03 season to go alongside his 24 goals. Incredible.

    different players. big ruud was clinical and an out and out striker whereas henry wasnt. henry was great at 1 on 1s and mostly went out wide left alot due to playing on wing with monaco juventus even got played out on the wing at barca thats why he has a big assist record. ruud has aerial threat and henry dont, they both have great attributes though.

    but as a "striker" i would have big ruud hes a target man and a clinical finisher, but as an overall player i would have henry.

    I'd go for Henry, for setting up alot of his own goals. Didnt see van Nistelrooy do that too much.
