The Nazis never had a majority, not even in 1933 when they were elected.

True, although they were by far the largest party, although you're right, not an absolute majority.

They eliminated their rivals (Communists) by framing them for the Reichstag fire.

Thanks for the informative reply, and completely ignoring everything else in that post. As I said, whether you like it or not, Celtic will always have political baggage.

    Just for you though-

The * party had 17,277,180 votes in the 1933 German Federal election, followed by the SPD, who had 7,516,243, and the Communists, with 4,848,058. So a pretty large proportion.

No need to act the smart * and not back it up mate.

We are a football team created to help the poor and needy, we are not and never have been a political entity. We are however being hijacked by political agendas that are * all to do with us and the spiels posted on here are nothing better than the dross from Ibrox.

I for one am sick to the back teeth reading reams of rubbish from badly educated, self appointed historians who couldn't even tell you the time never mind the historical truth in some of the guff they pontificate about.

Anyway I just couldn't let a thread like this go without saying I'm disgusted by some of the posts that are as bitter and twisted as anything, the loyalist dross hinginging like a snotter to the gates of hades in Govan can produce.

It's stuff like this that fuels the flames of * about paranoia. I'm a celtic supporter and wouldn't vote labour or any left wing party if ma * was hinging over a cliff and the only wan in place to save me was a labour luvvie wae a pen and a ballot paper in hand, it would be a case of farewell my fondest * I kiss you goodbye.

Does that ban me from supporting Celtic then because in that instance that makes you no better than the BNP, the Nazis ,fascists etc. What have my politics got to do with supporting any football team. More important where in Celtic park does it state you must be a left wing labour voter.

Jezz unlike others who claimed about majority, I learned facts and figures a long time ago. I have replied to your post.

It does not matter what proportion it was NEVER EVER a majority, you dived in saying it was without getting facts correct. That is the problem, if enough people say the same thing eventually people believe it and on here we have a list produced out a hat wae a rabbit giving chapter and verse about right and lft wing teams, it's total mince, absolute mince made up by someone wae too much time an a fertile imagination fuelled no doubt by drink and or drugs. Not one iota of truth or fact is contained in that list but we are being told who to support by a looney on a laptop dividing the world in to right and left wing teams. Ah'm surely no the only wan who sees the idiocy of such unadulterated garbage.

Ah nurse, the pills, kin ye give me some more, that jacket fits like a glove nurse, a straight fitting wouldn't you say nurse, nurse,,,Haw NURSE Who put the lights oot.

The clubs values, and the whole reason we were created for, are based on helping the poor and needy. So it is not surprising we attract people with Leftist views.

A club is represented mainly by its fans. Much more than the board, or even the players. Our fans have for years been traditionally left leaning, as well as the whole Irish thing being another political issue which has in most cases united the fan base. Therefore, we represent the club as a politically minded fan base. Much more than your typical club anyway.

Could you give an example of a post on this thread where someone is 'bitter and twisted'?!

Fair enough. We are a club open to all. HOWEVER, whilst that is true, most fans will disagree with your political leaning. Is there anything wrong with that? After all we live in a democracy, where anyone can, in reason, express themselves politically. No ones told you anything about you being a bad Celtic fan because you don't hold traditional beliefs.

Aye, and i'll quite happily admit I was wrong when I called it a majority. However, 43% of the vote is, i think we should agree on this, a sizable chunk. Granted, not a majority. But a lot.

I agree with you, that list is stupid. However, as I said a fan base represents a team. If most of the fan base are of a certain political leaning, which is quite often the case, especially abroad, then that club can be described as a political club. These clubs continue to attract that type of person, and the cycle continues. No ones telling you to support anyone because of your political beliefs. However, it is an unfortunate fact, that if you are for example a Loyalist, you will support Rangers, or if you are left wing, you will most probably support Livorno if you come from the area, and Lazio if you have fascist tendencies.

    Jezz you say this

Could you give an example of a post on this thread where someone is 'bitter and twisted'?!

    and follow that with

I agree with you, that list is stupid.

I think that answers the first part, bigotry and bitterness by some forlorn numpty on a pc, a sad deluded haufwit deciding who he will declare as right and left wing.

Sadly such a ream of idiocy is then dragged on here by someone as some sort of justification for division and bigotry.

You have no idea of fan base politics, just because we all sing rebel songs does not automatically make us all left wing voters. I used to be, as would be classed by myself, looney left and I was brought up with people with similar views, we followed Celtic week in and out, everywhere including Europe. I thought I was the only one who left the looney left views way behind but every single one of us have moved right in our political views yet we still will sing rebel songs etc. You have alluded to us all being left wing without knowing how anyone votes.

You say ...No ones told you anything about you being a bad Celtic fan because you don't hold traditional beliefs.

Correct but no one has the right to demand we support teams because in a goldfish bowl existence they imagine a team is left wing so that means celtic supporters must support them........Again that word MINCE is springing eternal.

Anyway let's no scratch the * oot it, I abhor some of the posts made in this thread by people who I would class as not a step above a hun to promulgate such skewed, inverted bigotry. Then again that makes it a place for argument and debate.

A fan base does not represent a team, a team represents the fans and a team should never be involved in politics.

I just couldn't sit back listening to such unbridled and unmitigated nonsense without passing comment. That is not a personal slight at yourself, it is in regard to the thread content.

    Hail Hail

There is a whole load of people here talking out there arses how exactly can a club be deemed as Fascist/Anti-Fascist ok there might well be ultras/casuals and supporters who hold certain political views but it doesn't speak for every single * supporter to many Celtic fans just agree with * they see, how about Hamburg for example i take it most people know they have quite a big left wing element in their support.. no ? it doesn't make them a left wing club still though.

The list for a start is total and utter bullshit I take it most of you have all came across plenty of Celtic fans in your time whether it be friends, family or just anyone and i can bet any money that some of them had right wing views and also i bet that some of them were left wing.

And the same goes for Rangers fans i highly doubt a large few in my family who support Rangers want to see me and the rest of the Celtic fans in my family dead or up there knees in there blood and as far as i know none of them are racist but mainly they just don't give a *.

As far as a Turkish team having a non-Muslim signing policy come on to * :56:

We are not a left or right wing football club we are a football club a special one at that with great history and a golden rule that it doesn't matter who the * you are or what you may believe in you're a Celtic fan and that is all that matters.

Not having a dig at anyone all i'm saying is that i think to many people just take anything they see on GB forums etc. as the gospel and in my opinion i find the whole anti-fa and right wing * cringey and once again that's just one supporters opinion.

    Really?

Well i can confirm everything that calton republican has said because i was stood beside him at the hapoel game and i also witnessed isreali SOLDIERS brandishing machine-type guns at celtic supporters just outside the gates of the stadium during a scuffle with this hun *.

They actually drew their guns on two seperate occassions during this comossion....something im not likely to forget as it was the first time in my life a gun has been pointed in a direction where i was standing.

I agree that politics don't matter at all.

Generalizing is never ever a wise thing to do. a support consist of thousands of different, independent individuals, where most are actually capable of thinking for themselves and making up their own minds and opinions.

I have come across way too many fans who don't suit their "clubs politics". right wing celtic fans, left wing lazio and hamburg fans etc.

Saying certain clubs represent a certain political agenda is not accurate, it's truely wrong. too many different people with too many different opinions.

football is all about fun. going to games to have an excellent time with your boys. politics and fun = oxymoron.

    Hapoel aren't pro plastians!

They were long time ago the flag team of the Histadrot( : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histadrut )

The meaning of "Hapoel" in Hebrew is "the worker" so they're socialsit (but in the last years it's have no meaning any more) and anti - racist, but not pro plastians.
however, they are the biggest team in Hapoel group, but they have no other ajanda that any other Hapoel team in Isael haven't.
