He can go if he wants, rot in the Chelsea reserves for a few years, maybe get loaned out 1 season, because he's certainly not gonna get a game ahead of Torres, Drogba, Anelka, Sturridge, & Lukaku. Or he could stay here, if he's as good as people say he is he'll be in the first-team in no time, he can try and make a name for himself here, but at the end of the day money talks. So you choose, Islam. Money or Football? We all know what your gonna choose so bye bye. I won't lose any sleep over him.

Do you know what? I'm not even saying good luck because he is showing total disrespect to our club, after all Celtic and Tommy Burns did for him and his family? :38: I hope he ends up in League 1 or something.

Steady on a bit these are really just rumors after all and he's only 16. I'm sure he will at least stay a few more years at Celtic.

Its the same guy though 'Andy Muirhead' who wrote it on that Scotzine website. I wonder how he can get away with that :56: writing "news" on his own website and then copying it for a paper like 4 days later :97:

tbh a couldn't care less whether he stays or goes, no exactly a superstar. many young guys have been tipped to be the next big thing and never turned out that way.

when was his family granted asylum ? heard that for the first 3 years you're here that you aren't entitled to benefits so if that's the case you can't really complain, he might be supporting his family with his wage

Not sure it's tapping up due to him not having a professional contract as yet. Morally repugnant, but not breaking the law.

It was always going to be difficult to keep the lad on the books, his eyes are obviously on the EPL or maybe its just that rag making up pish once again. If he does want to go,throw in a 50% sell on clause.

Again, can't dictate the term of the transfer without him having a professional contract annoyingly. We'd get compensation and that's about it.

It isn't tapping up because at the moment he doesn't have a contract with us just a pre-contract which unfortunately is not legally binding.

no need to shout, turn off the bold.

If you don't want to post in a thread then don't the OP has supplied a link to a possible transfer so this thread is to discuss that possible transfer, leave it at that.

Would be a shame to lose the kid for a pesky £300k.

The rules need some serious rethinking!

2 sides to every stroy and all that. Some people might think, "why not move for more money? He has a family to supprt at such a young age"
Some might say *'em and call him all the names under the sun.

I for one would be gutted. But if he left fair play to him. He does have a family to support and he is a very talented footballer.
But it would be a shame to loose him now, especially after Celtic and Tommy Burns pulled out all the stops to stop his family being deported.

Celtic youth supremo Chris McCart vows to bat off interest from Chelsea in teen star Islam Feruz

Aug 17 2011 By Euan McLean
CELTIC have warned Chelsea they will not give up on the fight to keep teen sensation Islam Feruz.
The highly-rated rookie wants to sign on at Stamford Bridge after having his head turned by the offer of a £2500 weekly wage - even though he can't sign a professional contract until he's 16.
It's understood a legal loophole would limit Celtic's compensation to no more than £300,000 - which would be a bitter blow having invested so much in the kid who fled war-torn Somalia in 2001. Now Feruz wants to turn his back on the club that nurtured him but the head of Celtic's youth academy, Chris McCart, insisted the 15-year-old is still their player.
He said: "We've got him on a three-year contract. We have had no official approach for Islam."
Feruz did not travel as McCart took his Under-19 side to Marseille yesterday for their first game in an inaugural European tournament for young elite stars.
Celtic are the only Scottish club invited to compete in the NextGen Series which is intended to give youth clubs vital Champions League-style experience.

The Hoops have been drawn in a group with Barcelona, Manchester City and Marseille, where they will kick off their campaign tonight in the Velodrome. Barca will visit Parkhead on Wednesday, 31 August, before the young Bhoys travel to Manchester on October 17 to complete the first half of the group stage.
McCart said: "This tournament has captured the imagination of everyone at the club."

What's the bit in bold about???:97:

To be fair if we lost him, it would be a blow.

But think of the players we've taken on a free in terms of Ledley and Matthews.

just stating fact. if you check the thread that was open in general chat a couple of weeks ago, you would see i was defending the boy, and was disgusted about our "fans" comments. i would expect a mod to give warnings to abuse of the lad, you prepared to do that? .. because the last thread that was on this topic was rather absurd to read.. hmmm :97:
