Brothers, oh brothers, my days here are done, the Dornishman’s taken my life,
But what does it matter, for all men must die, and I’ve tasted the Dornishman’s wife!

Finished it last week. Well worth the wait. Quite a few surprises at the very end. Martin deals a heavy hand!

Just another 700 to go. :56:

Enjoy it, man. * knows when we'll get the follow-up. I'm not sure if I'm glad to have read it so quickly or not. I get to know what happens, but...urgh.

Favorite characters are Jon Snow, Davos and Tyrion. I absolutely love their story arcs. You?

I'm a big Stark family, man. I even have a wolf and 'Winter is coming' tat over my left shoulder blade. Love 'em. Hope the likes of Arya, Jon and Bran can lead the house to glory!

Also, like Daenerys, though not so much in this book. She's pretty ineffectual and frustrating. I've come to expect better, but it's needed, I guess, considering the amount of people put off by her being a 'Mary Sue'. Bah!

I love the Starks too. It was around 95F here and everyone was complaining about the heat so I posted on facebook: it's wicked hot today, but just remember: winter is coming.

Daenerys kind of * me off for the same reasons. I'm also not too fond of the Greyjoy arcs. I get why he puts it in but I just don't enjoy reading it as much as some others. I'm curious to see how Sam makes out

Bout 200 pages left and so far i have enjoyd it a lot more than feast for crows.

Quite enjoying Tryion, John and Theons chapters. Cant believe Theon found some long forgotten balls at the end of his chapters.

Anyway just under 200 pages left and should finish it tonight or tomorrow :)

Looking back, this was one of my favourite reads of the year. It didn't have anything on the other books in the series (Feast for Crows, aside), but it was still pretty good.

Can't wait for 'Winds of Winter', next, and the start of the new TV series.
