Has anyone else noticed Naks's dip in form lately should we be giving him a rest looked tired today an got shoved off the ball a lot and gave the ball away nearly every time he had the ball.
He is the only player to play all games for Celtic this season i think he could be doing with a rest as his performances lately have not been as good as we all know that he can play. maybe he thinks his place in team is secure so he is not having to fight for his position.
Expect more from Naka when team is not doing well we look to big players to pull something special out the bag. Last couple of games Naka is letting me down.

To be honest Archie i thought Naka played quite well the day. Some of his touches and creating of space was * hot, it's just a pity none f his work led to a goal - for a change!! :shamrock:

He does appear to play sometimes with a bit to spare... but he can change a game on the spin as we have seen him do may times.... He was involved in the 2nd goal...

im not slating him maybe just because he is not scoring goals like against utd.- man utd an dundee utd which i think is goal of the season i perhaps have come to expect this from naka
He can change a game with a moment of class but think he gets shoved of the ball a lot. maybe he is due a rest.

If they'd only give McGeady a * chance, Naka could take a breather.

Maybe with Maloney back we can put him on the left and try McGeady on the right? I can't see why not, after all he is right footed aint he?

Archie I will say Nakamura had arguably his worst game today, but there is NO way has there been a dip in form until today! :87:
Nakamura is the MOST consistant and productive player on the team this season, bar none!
Now Archie I suggest you go and look at the latest games prior to this one. :86:

Nakamura's dedicated he'll play through tiredness imo.

Was reading this Magazine about the Champions League and I read that Nakamura after scoring his goal against Man Utd and after the match while everyone went celebrating he hit the gym and done 90 minutes on the excerise bike. That's dedication.

GS would be committing hari kari if he rested Nakamura, he is the one that is mainly responsible for Celtics success so far this season, sorry to suggest dropping the star is absurd! :87:
Excuse the pun by the way.

Agreed today was his first indifferent game. I wouldn't say he was bad, just not as good as normal. He can turn the game at any time which is why Strachan won't leave him out.

i think WGS should rest the guys that have been playing starting 11 since the start of the sason.
    Reasons for this:

    1. the league is won, no need to chase points

    2. we got players that are not given their chances enough - Riordan, O'Dea for example. We cannot afford to waste that kind of talents.

    3. Some rest, others come in - time to start with Beattie and Maloney make them play more to hit the form, and if theyre not fit, substitute them with those who have been the usual starters.

    4. I think team needs some "refreshment" before AC Milan game. Biggest game in years is coming, and what we do is battle for every inch of the pitch with the likes of Inverness CT. No need to do that in my opinion.

What really worries me is that WGS probably realizes whats said above, but he sticks to some starters too long (Magic, for example). That can mean two things:

    1. Either WGS will stick to some players no matter what (which is obviously no good)
    2. or the substitutes are off form, which, considering the starters are pretty much the same way too, is really, really not good.

Please excuse my pesimism, its just logic. Still believe we can win the CL. This is football, damnit :)
