Yeah obviously, but making the play-offs for them is a good season. Also one of those teams that could nick a few wins against the bigger sides now and again, I quite like them. Watched the highlights of all the games and NYR look pretty good, I * hate them though :smiley-laughing002:

Was out celebrating, Tampa till i die!! git it up ye Ryan, yer teams *! We were unstoppable.

 

Just saw portions of the game so didn't really get a feel for it. It's going to take some getting used to this very different Canucks team this year. I'm most interested in seeing how Desjardins will have the team playing. He is heralded as a very attacking coach who likes to play fast hockey which is what the style of play the brought the most success in the last few years. Should be an exciting season.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty optimistic. I remember last season I was trying to convince myself that things were going to go well rather than actually believing it.

This year I think we'll make the playoffs. It kind of reminds me of back after the 07/08 season when everyone had us missing the playoffs completely saying that without major changes we'd go nowhere. They went on to have a 100+ point season. That was the start of the Chicago nightmare but it was entertaining nonetheless.

 

How do you guys watch NHL, I've never seen it on?

NHL Gamecenter. They have an app for the Xbox so I can just put it on the TV. It's $100 (about £60) for the whole season, pretty much HD and you get every game (although those on Premier Sports are blacked out there's an easy way around that).

 

Also, the Canucks game was brilliant last night. A bit dodgy defensively but another win.

 

Penguins have made a much better start than a lot of people said they would before the season started. Most the bits I read and saw were saying they'd have a slow start with the new gm and head coach but two pretty comprehensive wins on the bounce.

Also Columbus on form last night, told you they'd take on the big teams, so glad it was the Huns as well.

Is there any way to watch NHL gamecentrr on PS4? I'd rather not have to keep paying for Xbox live just to watch it on the tv.

Tampa will finish in a strong playoff position this season if they stay healthy. Probably one of the better teams in the East this year.

They looked pretty crap against Florida, I suppose it was only the first game but I had no idea they would be capable of destroying a team like Montreal! Or are Montreal just looking awful this season?

 

Montreal are looking good enough as well. It's just that we're only a few games in and you can't really judge teams this early. Being an 82 game season games like that are easily forgotten as well. Not like football where that score would be remembered for decades.
