As it is close season it gives us a chance to have a look at some of the ways celtic goes about its business. it has been a while, to my recolection, since we have had a drawn out transfer sarga when trying to sign someone. Infact not even a sarga but so much as a statement of intent from the off when celtic track a player. I bring this point up as the filth across the city seem to publically declare interest in everyone they have seen a dvd of. however although i dont like the idea of going so public with stuff like "we might try and sign him" i think it adds to the window bonanza. So the question is does it annoy you that you dont know if someone is signing until he is spotted at Celtic park, or would u prefer it that way, leaving us fans scratching our heads as * articles link us with people such as Sol Campbell? Hail Hail

I know where your coming from,no news is good news but is it really when you want to know who's coming in and who is going.

i know its very quiet, there will be things happening behind the scenes, its frustrating
    but things will happen shortly

That's just the rangers pr machine going into overdrive trying to appease their scummy fans.
We go about it the right way,i'd rather not get my hopes up about a player until he signs on the dotted line:50:

I prefer it. Shows we are professional and I am happy with the men doing our transfer deals (Lawell and Lennon)

And to be honest, I think it's a sign that season ticket sales are going well! Theres no need to pipe up to the papers about major signing targets....

Ok i might be analysing it a bit too much :87:

I know its sad,the media have been linking our best players to any club since the new year, they hate seeing us with a decent settled team.
If we still had Mowbary in charge i'd be bricking it about any new signings, but with Lenny im very confident we'll get some more class players whilst keeping our main squad intact.

cloak and dagger, is a must for us, we already had our * felt with Mo Johnstone. the less the media know the better, they nearly scuppered the deal with viduka, at one time, and they take delight in telling new players what the other guys get as a wage. and remember the * "keveens" who would buy a 35 year old player named Lubo

    I like our transfer business.

We signed Kayal, Hooper & Izzy from under people's nose's - if we went public perhaps they would go elsewhere.

We got Ledley & Mathews for nothing, which was quite a achievement - as they were in the Championship & had offers of around £3-5millions knocked back by Cardiff.

We're in pretty good hands transfer wise - I wouldn't want to see us go over the odds for players either.

I think we do our buisness the right way, we don't want premiership sides stealing our players from under us.

I think the huns let people know their buisness so it looks as if they are trying to sign decent players but just seem to miss out, LOL.

I'm delighted with the way the club goes about it's business. Helps to prevent other clubs from snatching potential players.

i don;t mind if it's on the down low or in public as long as the board spend to get the right players in they can do it any way thy want in my book, as long as they pull off some good signings then i will be happy

Although I'd love to know exactly who we are targetting, unfortunately, if that information was public knowledge it would drive the price up so I'm happy to let those in the know work behind the scenes to get the business done, of course, it's frustrating when we don't get the type of players we need and it would be good to know the reasons why but it's a no-win situation.

Ultimately though, business deals should be done in private where those involved can talk freely and frankly with each other without the papers reporting what was supposedly concluded.

Although I totally agree they should do buisness privately, it still frustrates me when there is no news of any decent signings coming to Celtic. We as fans just need to be patient and have faith in our manager.
