He,s got a 4 year contract and is not going anywere for less than ten million.

    Jordan henderson cost 20 million

Some hot prospect the boy jones cost man utd 16 million

If the premier league boys are willing to pay these kind of prices then why the * would we sell for 3 measly * million pounds, now its ridiculas!!!!

LENNY AND CELTIC WERE ALSO QUOTED IN THE PRESS, the woords were celtic sllap 6 million price tag on kayal?? now thats garbage lenny was mis quoted, AND SAID SOME OF THE FIGURES GOING ABOUT ARE WAY OFF THEY WOULD NEED TO TREBBLE IT, Now that was after the reported bolton bid of 2 million, which by the way owen coyle is ludicrous, you mad??? anyway the paper put a 6 million price tag on him!! thats the bottom line

ANOTHER THING CELTIC SHOULD KNOCK BACK ANY 8 MILLION POUND BID FOR HIM, A THINK WE WILL GET 10 MILLION MIN :50: We dont need to sell thats the bottom line and a would be very un happy if we did sell and didnt get 10 million minimum

Celtic midfield ace Beram Kayal was one of the stand-out players in the SPL last season
BOLTON have offered £2million for Celtic's Beram Kayal - but want £17m for Gary Cahill.
Different players and different positions but is the Hoops' midfield mainstay really worth £15m less than Wanderers' central defender?
Craig Brown doesn't believe so but says English clubs will keep trying to steal top talent at Scottish clubs for prices a fraction of what they will pay each other on a transfer merry-go-round that is spinning out of control.
And if you don't believe that take a look at Liverpool spending £20m on a 20-year-old from Sunderland on the same day as Manchester United were writing a cheque for £15m to Blackburn for a 19-year-old who has played just 34 senior matches.
The transfers of Jordan Henderson and Phil Jones are just the start of an English transfer window that threatens to break spending records but precious little of England's seemingly bottomless pit of cash will be crossing the border if the early business being conducted continues.
Aberdeen boss Brown is already raging at Derby County, who have signed striker Chris Maguire on a Bosman while so far refusing to hand over the £400,000 the Dons believe they are due for raising a player who is under 24 years old.
This is the same Championship club who spent the same amount on securing one of the SPL's brightest midfield talents, Craig Bryson, from Kilmarnock.
But it is Bolton's pursuit of Kayal for peanuts while trying to sell Cahill for a kings' ransom that drives home to Brown the gulf between neighbours who have never been further apart.
He said: "There is a lack of respect for our game down there. I know that because I have worked in both countries. English clubs look disparagingly at the Scottish scene - they don't respect it the way they used to when they could come up here and get players of the quality of Kenny Dalglish, Gordon Strachan and Jim Leighton.
"The feeling now is that there is nobody worth taking. Or the ones who do catch their eye will only go for peanuts because the feeling is that they have still to prove themselves in a good league."
Brown points to Strachan's policy at Middlesbrough, He snapped up Kris Boyd, Stephen McManus, Scott McDonald, Kevin Thomson, Barry Robson and Willo Flood from the Old Firm and Lee Miller from Aberdeen and it flopped spectacularly.
That, Brown says, gave the English more ammunition to fire at the Scottish game.
He added: "Middlesbrough signed quite a few guys from up here but they didn't have a great season. That didn't help the attitude some folk in England have about our game. They were looking at it and saying: 'If those guys from the Old Firm are struggling in the Championship, it proves the Scottish game is poor'."
That attitude is reflected in the prices they are quoting clubs north of the border for their players.
Brown said: "If Kayal was playing in England he would be going for £6m at least.
"Emilio Izaguirre was outstanding last season and is another who will be attracting attention but, again, if any offers come in they will be much less than they'd be if he were playing for an English club."
And he believes other clubs will receive even more derisory offers for any of their players catching the eye of English outfits.
He added: "They know they can offer very little for our players and with the Scottish game having so little money, most will have to accept it. They can't afford not to sell players at bargain prices.
"Look at David Goodwillie at Dundee United. If he were playing in the Championship rather than the SPL and a Premiership club wanted him, he would go for far more than the £2m United are hoping to get for him.
"It would be seen down there that he had proved himself at a higher level yet he has scored against both halves of the Old Firm.
"The bottom team in the Premiership is guaranteed £35m. Celtic and Rangers get about £2m from television, so the relative success they've had in Europe over the last 10 years is a compliment to them both.
"Swansea going up guarantees them about £90m as they will get four parachute payments if they drop back down.
"About half the Championship's teams have been in the Premiership in the last few years so they are operating on parachute payments that will be about five times what the Old Firm take in, so no wonder these clubs can offer more."
The former Scotland manager believes the second tier of English football is better than our top flight and will continue to plunder the pick of our talent.
He said: "It's going to happen. The league up here isn't as good as the Championship - no way. I've worked in them both and it is a far harder league than the SPL. The teams are much more powerful, stronger and have better players.
"The crowds are also better - Derby have 23,000 season-ticket holders.
"Bryson has gone there on the cheap. If the reported fee of £400,000 is correct, Derby have got a good player, who is an international, for far less than they'd have paid for a player of his ability down south.
"We will get money in from Maguire eventually because Derby will have to compensate us, even if they are dragging their heels.
"It is the same with Sone Aluko if he signs elsewhere as he is under 24 but both will be only compensation money, which will be far less than we'd get if they were being sold on the open market.
Astonishing "Maguire is an international player at under-21 level. Jones and Henderson are also under-21 caps but have gone for massive fees. They are good players and have shown they can play in the Premiership but their prices are astonishing for guys with so little experience. If they had been playing up here, would they have gone for the same kind of money? Of course not.
"Danny Wilson is a young defender who showed he could handle playing in the Champions League and Old Firm games, yet he went to Liverpool for a fraction of what they paid for Henderson.
"Scottish clubs really don't like it very much but English teams will always see us as soft targets as most times we just won't be able to refuse their money."
