I dont think it's worth it, we should sign a younger target man to partner Hoops. I also dont think he's the player he was, very injury-prone and has lost a couple of yards of pace.

another thing. In the next close season he will be 33. I dont care what list of exceptions like Henke people post, most striker more than in any other position tend to lose that vital edge once they are that sort of age. So, he really is not worth spending a lot of money on. His wages too are out of our league and would upset harmony. I dont believe in a team being sensibly sustainable in terms of wages then tagging on some player who doesnt fit any sort of long terms strategy at all. It just spoils the togetherness of the team. I would much rather we signed a younger up and coming striker.

people focus far too much on the English leagues for targets and far too much at people with some sort of Celtic connection already. There is a world out there that isnt just England or its overrated leagues.

i think it adds much needed experience in our squad.

We have an excellent young promising squad, which quite frankly makes me happy! however at certain times we missed that little bit of extra know how and little bit of experience!

We need that extra bit of class upfront.whether is Bellamy keane or someone else I want another striker of that quality.I want someone who will be great nearly every week which the 2 above would be with the players we have now and the poor quality of the rest of thr spl.as much as I love hooper and stokes too many games last season that they never even turned up

There is no chance whatsoever of Bellamy signing for Celtic he is staying at cardiff and i wouldnt be surprised if he retires at the end of next season unless he gets Cardiff into the premiership

There was an interview of him in a Dutch football magazine. He said he doesnt want to hand in any of his salary because he needs it for his Foundation in Sierra Leone.

think we should be aiming for younger guys like Long rather then Bellamy, whose best days are behind him not to mention his dodgy knees, (wow i'm agreeing with Gunt! :fear:)

that said, he probably could still romp it up here but i reckon we should look for younger blood

and i loved bellamy's time here, if he had signed after his loan spell he would have run riot up here

He was absolutely class when he was with us, and anyone who says otherwise shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion.

His hat-trick against Dundee Utd was sheer class and his Van Basten esque volley against Aberdeen was one of the best goals I have ever seen.

Would love it to happen but can't see it...

And why, before you all start to ask...

He stated earlier in the season he wanted to help cardiff into the EPL. He also previously stated he didn't want to play for any other team in the EPL or abroad. So, if he goes anywhere it'll likely be back to the singing sheep shaggers again.

I think if he was goanny come back it would have been last season. Although i wouldn't completely rule it out; is it true he's been released by Man City?

If it is true i'd fancy him to choose Cardiff again unfortunately.

Cardiff don't have a manager, so we should act quick and maybe nick him from under the nose of many clubs.

Has he been released by City?

its always the same when we have one loan mega star player - they play well but we lose the title. I dont want any big name loans. Its a waste of money and usually the sign that the team has problems.
