What next for Charlie Mulgrew? With Kelvin Wilson signed now, and the possibilty of another CB coming in, what do you think will happen with Mulgrew?

Apart from a few shakey games this season he was brlliant for us. I think it would be very harsh on the big man if he was just dropped to the bench.

He is a great player to have in the sqaud, he can play CB,LB and LM. What do you think Lennon will do regarding Mulgrew and what would you do?

Can fill in at centre half, left back, left mid and even centre mid.

I don't think he will ever hold down 1 position and I don't think he cares either.

He had an excellent season and he's made himself a vital squad member, I think you can tell from press conferences that Lennon realises that.

Very versatile , will be very handy for when players get injured/suspended , can also play in midfield which helps , need to wait until pre season and see who impresses.

I think he will be a squad player next season, but he'll still get a good number of games since he can fill in just about anywhere and do a decent job.

Honestly, i think he would be vital in europe away games, playing the 4-5-1 target man technique, him on the left commons on the right ledley kayal and perhaps brown in the centre try to dominate midfield and pump balls into the box for the target man to latch onto as he has a magnificent cross on him.

He'll be here for a while now, I think.

He knows he can be a starter at clubs like Aberdeen. But no disrespect to them, I'm sure he'd be much happier staying here and being a squad member.

I think that'll be the case now. He has shown he can play in several positions, and his handy from set-pieces. He's gonna be an important squad member, coming in and plugging gaps.

    Had a good season.

A good utlity players can cover LB and LM however he is no CB. Will be good for next season when injuries kick in and he is a smashing freekick taker.

There will be alot of deadwood leaving in the summer, Hinkel, Loovens ( please love man ) and perhaps Cha Du.

He is much stronger at CB, than LB in my opionion. The few games at the start of the season he played at LB i thought he looked terrible. Especially vs ICT up against Hayes, he ripped him a new one.

Great squad player to have every winning sides need them and we have 1 in Mulgrew can be our John O'Shea type a player that can do well all over the park when needed and do a good job in each positions he is asked .
Never been his biggest fan but you have to get him credit when it's due and he was vital for us this season .

Taking nothing away from Charlie, he did a good job at CB however I feel there are much better players suited to that position, Kelvin Wilson for one I look forward to seeing playing next season with Big Maj.

Could be our O'Shea probably until the end of his career, it's good to keep Celtic supporters in the squad to get the new players up to speed on whats required.

He was shocking at LB and is certainly not an option there. Looked extremely good at CD though. Uses the ball well where donkeys like Balde and Majstorovic can't or couldn't which is so important when putting teams under pressure.

He does an OK job in midfield but I'd prefer a better option in there. Worthy of his place in the squad for sure.

I have been extremely delighted with Charlie's professionalism this season. He has stepped up to the plate on many occassions, and has made a step up after coming in from Aberdeen.

The way he has performed on the pitch, especially being asked to play in so many different positions, shows what he can bring to the team and WANTS to bring to the team.

A player who I think can be as integral to the team as a certain Jackie McNamara Jr. was for Celtic.

    Keep it up Charles:50:

What's he done to loose his spot in left midfield ?

As far as im concerned Ledley and Kayal will need to work their way back into the team, Ki and Brown have been great in the middle as Commons and Mulgrew out wide.

Obviously pre season and such we can see players but he merits a place in the team.
