Mcfadden is better than Commons... He said last year Celtic were never really interested and were taking him for a ride, a way to sell last remaining season tickets i take it. I'd have him at celtic easy.

No way is he better than Commons mate, I like McFadden but he's built a career on one wonder goal against France and has amounted to nothing else. Commons to me is a fantastic player his deliveries and goal scoring records where ever he's been speak for themselves. One of the best in our squad.

Don't be ridiculous his career hasn't been built from one goal. He has that bit of magic when he plays i dont think anybody in our team has, celtic lack so much creativity and flair at times and Mcfadden has that in abundance . That campaign that you speak of he was scotlands tally's man nobody could stop him. If he can rediscover that form and when he was at Everton the first time round he will easily be one of our best players.

James McFadden Everton 2003-08 139 Apps 18 goals
Kris Commons Celtic 2010-12 52 Apps 15 goals
If Commons could find his first season form again the stats speak for themselves.

Pat McCourt? James Forrest? Creativity and Flair right there. I agree he was our main man for that one campaign, apart from that he's rarely amounted to anything, showed tiny glimpses of a good player at Everton. For the record I like McFadden.

Nah. When he came on trial last season it was really now or never. Plus I've not really been impressed with some of the things he's come out and said. Saying the club were wasting his time last year pretty much sealed it.

Celtic's top opposition - Rangers, Dundee Utd, Hearts

Everton's top opposition - Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal

can't pick and choose stats that suits your argument.

i think Commons on form is by far our best winger. still think McFadden has something to offer us. i would take him if the deal suits us. would rather have McFadden over McCourt. think the former would play far more games plus he has the versatility along the front line. if he does sign, i certainly wouldn't want him to be the only front man coming in though.

    McFadden

Everton don't seem to think that he has anything left to offer or they would have renewed his contract given that Stracqualursi and Drenthe have gone back from loan and Hahnemann didn't cut it. He only made 8 appearances in his second spell there but is good enough for us? He hasn't been the same since his knee injury and seemed to be blaming Celtic for a mix up last year. Think he has a chip and wouldn't want him coming with it.

would take him right now if only to create competition between players as a few of them think they are in team no mater how they perform

Would rather give Watt game time instead of him.
