Anyone else a little worried by the news Stokes might be for the off?

I know there was a breach of discipline from him but i think it would be harsh especially after the season he's had.

I think Stokes and Hopper are brilliant up front for us. Would love him to stay. An injury to Hooper and we have no natural goalscorer if Stokes leaves.

    Anyone with any info?

Think it's a given that he'll be on his way?

    I hope not.

One of my favourite players at the moment.

He's not leaving, if he was he wouldn't have played on yesterday.

Personally I thought a lot of his problems at the club ie losing his place in the team, coincided with his da becoming known as anti-British establishment, widely of course.

    Maybe Im wrong.

I like Stokes, although he can be incredibly frustrating! I definitely wouldn't be worried if he left though; a tall, powerful target man would be a better partner for Hooper imo.

I can't see that Lennon would get rid of him. He's not wonderfully brilliant but I think Lenny see's potential in him. He's had alot on his plate with his family, I'm sure Lenny will bare that in mind.

I think he'll be staying. He's not the first person to break a rule.

agree, i think there must be alot more behind the scenes than whats known.

IF he has breached disapline its not a good xample for the rest of the bhoys. however if he hasnt then i wouldnt mind him staying. clever footballer but in no way the workhorse u need to be in eurpoe!

I'd be happy to lose the player. Not good enough.

Imagine a season with Robbie Keane and Gary Hooper up front in the SPL!

One of the main reasons as far as I am concerned we didn't win the league was because Stokes was dropped for a lot of the crunch games, which was a mistake in my opinion. A Stokes/Hooper partnership is more productive than a Samaras/Hooper one.Lennon also had an annoying habit of pulling Stokes off first in any game that was becoming difficult. If I was Stokes I would be considering my position under Lennon, and would want cast iron assurances that I would be played more often next year, or else I would place a transfer request.

Stokes and hooper are the best partnership we have and reckon it will only improve with time.

Samaras and hooper were still not linking well together yesterday.
Samaras struggles to pass at the right times and loses possession too much for us. He slows us down.

Stokes a much better player. Id be happy with these 2 as our partnership and Lenny should concentrate on a powerful ball playing centre half to play alongside Wilson!

19 goals and 11 assists not good enough for you? I think you are setting your expectations to high

I would like us to keep Stokes and offload Samaras and Murphy, we need strikers that can actually score goals, whatever opinions are on Stokes he's a player who knows how to find the back of the net.

I don't know exactly how many of them were penalties but his play in general isn't good enough against the better sides. He did have some good games to be fair but it was against St Johnstone, Aberdeen and Hibs. In the tougher games, he struggled badly through lack of pace and silly flicks losing the ball. Lennon noticed this too obviously.

My expectations are not too high. We are the biggest club in the country.

Cant see him going to be honest, Lenny said last week although he wouldnt discuss what had happened he had no option but to discipline him and that was that, they had moved on from it. Might just be the boot up the * he needs.

What tougher games? He's scored against Hearts many times and played a blinder against them in February. When he came on against the huns in the last match he did more than either Hooper or Samaras in the whole 90 minutes. He scored against the huns several times last season.

You just don't like him. Simple as.
