Interesting debate between me and Arranbhoy and thought I would share with you bhoys and ghirls,

In a nutshell, how do you feel about about teams and more specifically Celtic having an organised drink after the killie game last week and after loosing 2 out of a possible 3 trophies this season?

Arranbhoy is of the opinion that as professional sportsmen they should have had no desire to be out with the team and would prefer to see them at home having a good look in the mirror so to speak. He thinks anything that may have been interprutted as celebration would have been in bad taste and disrespectful to the support.

My argument is that this season is well documented as being an extraordinary one and as such protocol should have been abandoned to allow them to rally round our manager.

So should the proverbial "knees up" be the preserve of those bearing silverware or is there to be an exception made for those occupying the moral high ground?

    Thoughts?....yes we are bored :52:

All team in all sports do something similiar, bit of a mad monday tradition. Personally, I would've preferred for them to wait til after tomorrow, but bhoys will be bhoys & it has been a difficult season.

I dont have an issue with the players having a night out , especially after the season we`ve had.

I'm with you, wouldnt have liked to see them out drinking after the disater in the highlands but it might have been more apt to wait until tomorrow.

I think it just has to be accepted that football is no longer 100% about what happens on the pitch.. Teams having over the top Christmas parties , player of the year functions being held at crunch time in the season , meaningless friendlies crammed in and a whole load of commercial stuff occupying players time.. I just accept that what will be will be , as long as players aren't taking liberties at the supporters expense and endng up on the front pages..

It's been said that the Inverness game cost us the league..
A game that was twice postponed because of Inverness's inability to get the game on in the first place.. Lots of factors came into play this year and I think seeing as we gained a high points total with few points dropped since we got our act together around February , that whatever Lenny is doing with the players is working (in a season when players were getting to know each others names) so they should be cut some slack..

Even todays game.. If it went belly up and we lost it wouldn't devastate me because of what's gone on , but I really want to see Lenny get that 1st trophy and the players celebrate like it means the world to them , and likewise the supporters..
And then I hope they all have a party to end all parties..

Arrannhoy would like to add at this point that "we are up against the worst R*****s team in living memory, now isnt the time for drinks on the gaffer"

I think I am soon going to have to share my laptop with TC's newest member:38:

Definately not the worst huns team..

Le Guens team had Lionel Letizi playing ahead of * , Jermey Clement playing ahead of Ferguson and Sebo keeping Boyd out the team.. Probably their poorest defence back then also.. Was it Svenson and Rodriguez..
