    In a nutshell, what is the best way to download music for free?

    Used to use Limewire. I use BitTorrent to get albums, films, TV shows and stuff.

    But it's not really any good for downloading singles.

    Anyone help?

    look for an invite to private torrent sites..iv been using demonoid for years...lucky to get an invite. for me it is the only place id trust.

    Do you use firefox? Get the "Youtube MP3 Podcaster" add-on. It's brilliant. All you have to do is find the single on youtube, then the add-ons gives you links to download it in the description. You can download the MP3 (just the audio from the video) or the actual clip.

    This will give you a link to which sites have the most seeds to the single you are looking for. This is also good for finding TV shows or movies.

    join forums like warez-bb.org and projectw.org (Always best to have anti virus running to be on the safe side but I've found these forums to be hassle free)

    The files are hosted with webhosts such as rapidshare , megaupload , fileserve etc..

    I download albums off a torrent site called BtJunkie. It's quite long winded but the songs you get are good quality, and most are fast.

    If you only want one song, download it, and untick the ones you don't want.

    That's what I was going to say. Either search for the "top 40" and you'll get the recent charts, untick them all apart from the one you want or just download the album it's on and do the same thing. It'll be downloaded in about 5 seconds.
