Pointless question since the Huns have already won the league. Even if they hadn't, I doubt anyone would say no.

 

Careful what you wish for mate, Lee Trundle would terrorize our defence.

 

We really need to hope for an easy team here. If we drew Spurs/Liverpool etc it would be a disaster. Would love european football next season but we gotta hope for a bit of luck in getting there I think.

In all seriousness i think we could have a good run if we get a little bit more of experienced quality maybe 2-3 players this summer. we have a cracking young team who just need that little bit of guidence at times.

Also aslong as we get lucky with the draws (we never fecking are) then its up to us how far we go. no doubt it will be Inter MIlan 1st round, porto next, followed by tottenham. haha.

 

Celtic Europa League Explained

Found this and thought I would share it:

Every year there are fans who don’t know where Celtic are going to get in Europe after all the recent changes. So below is an explanation of how the Europa league play-off’s work this season.

Because Celtic won the Scottish cup Celtic go into the Europa League play-offs which is the last stage before the group stage.
There are 76 teams that will enter the playoff stage.
- 26 teams that enter automatically – Celtic this season.
- 35 teams from the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa league.
- 15 teams from the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League eg Celtic last season.


These 76 teams will be split into 7 groups of 10 to 12 teams. These groups will have 5 or 6 seeded teams and 5 or 6 unseeded teams.


To be seeded you need to be in the top 38 teams. Of the 26 teams that are going in automatically Celtic are placed at 12th with 39.528. Most of the 35 teams coming from the 3rd qualifying rounds are below Celtic. So we can safely say that Celtic will remain a seeded team meaning we will be in the same position that we were last season when we faced unseeded FC Utrecht.


The draw date is on the 5th August 2011 the day after the second legs of the 3rd qualifying round.
Celtic’s first leg will be played on the 18th August 2011 and the second leg on the 25 August 2011 and because Celtic will be seeded we should get a small team.
The 38 winners from the playoff round will join 10 losers from the Champions League play-off round and will be placed into the group stage via pots the draw is on the 26 August 2011.
