    Come on.... He's quiet blatantly trying to say Lennon shouldnt be retaliating and in the heat of the moment if your getting attacked you dont stand and let it happen. If thats he case why has no one mentioned Alan Thompson getting his kick in? Its the world against Neil Lennon when all he was doing was what hes paid for. Coaching his team

    That's selective. This is just plain hypocrisy. People will now come on and slate him when they don't know the full story. Here is everything he's said, in no way criticising Neil Lennon, unless you're thick as * and somehow see criticism in there somewhere, in which case you were looking for it anyway.

    1st: A shocking incident here at Tynecastle tonight: Neil Lennon attacked by a Hearts fan. Nor did Lennon hold back in applying his retaliation.

    2nd: The fan leapt from the enclosure to attack Lennon. The Celtic manager, it seemed to me, got wired in himself, as police rushed to the scene.

    3rd: I have never seen anything like this at Tynecastle tonight. A fan, a manager caught in a fight. These attacks on Neil Lennon are staggering.

    4th: I’m still shocked by this Lennon incident. It was so vivid. The venom and prejudice shown towards this guy is utterly shocking.

    5th: What are people talking about here? The attack on Lennon was appalling – fact. Lennon also retaliated – fact. Have I got something wrong?

    That commentary is 100 times worse than anything Spiers says, at least Spiers can admit the behaviour towards Lennon is shocking.

    I’m still shocked by this Lennon incident. It was so vivid. The venom and prejudice shown towards this guy is utterly shocking.

    Spiers does not criticise Lennon for retaliating.

    He points out the facts of what happened.

    I dont mind Spiers tbh he calls it like he sees it. He has been one of rangers biggest critics regarding sectarian singing etc and he is a self confessed rangers fan.

    Did Lerny retaliate?? As far as I could see it was Alan Thompson that got the boot in and quiite rightly so! Tbh if it was me anywhere near that spineless * I would have made him suffer. Not surprised the wee huns did this, didn't think they'd be this blatant tho.
