This might be true, and it might not. In fairness, Lennon & co are the only ones who can judge this because none of us have seen enough of Juarez to really tell, IMO.

:50:ki is the worst midfielder we have,he needs loaned out to come good, far to slow.if i was jeurez id want out,as for freddy why bring him in not to let us see him in the hoops, looked good v hibs when he came on,frustrated with both these players input.

We seen enough of Juarez at the start of the season to say he had real potential, and he looked like a powerhouse in midfield, and more than able at right back too.You don't lose that potential and class overnight.

Juarez's exclusion might be down to some pique by Lennon towards Juarez.

I dont think its vitriol, saying a player isnt good enough isnt being that nasty. Neil clearly doesnt think so either as he hasnt been a regular since coming back from AC. Neil will say different in public, as he does for all players, but the facts are he doesnt start regularly now.

I dont think the argument about Ki playing deep makes a difference, his goalscoring record before he came was pretty poor, though he has done okay with the national squad.

Has a couple of games now to show what he is made of.

We also saw Juarez come on and play utterly shocking in quite a few substitute roles - therefore our experience of him is mixed.

I thought he did OK yesterday, like much of the side.

His passing and ball retention was good, as it usually is.

For me, what lets him down is his closing down and his ability to break up play. He doesn't press quickly enough and when he does make a tackle it's usually a bad one which ends up as a foul.

He's a good player to bring on to see out a game at CP, but I wouldn't rely on him to dig out a victory in a game which is a battle.

Think about what kind of formation we play, Ki stays back to tidy up everything, this let Broony charge forward and eventually scored a goal, Ki is a good player, a really clever one and his set pieces are pretty good, so please instead of Ki, can we talk about somebody else!!!!

I like how people are giving Ki the last 2/3 games to prove himself when we gave ledley the entire first half of the season when he was absolute * then he improved remarkably and we now miss him, we have given brown almost 3 years to come onto a game.

How single minded can people get sometimes, demanding a certain amount of time for one player to perform and more for another player simply because they prefer them as a player, as ive said before where is the hooper and brown and forrest bashing thread because they have been woeful for over a month now.

With both Ledley and Kayal out injured Ki was the obvious choice to start in central midfield yesterday and I imagine he will do so in our remaining games. He is a good passer of the ball and overall a good player. But no way would I describe his performance Sunday as brilliant. He had a solid enough game like the team did in general. But nothing more then that. Certainly he didn't do anything to suggest to me that if Ledley and Kayal were both fit he should still be in the team.

Was solid for me and did his job. Maybe he could play a more advanced role more often but from what Ive seen his touch and ball retention is great and have no problem with him in the team. One thing that worries me about him is that he makes stupid tackles alot though.

The only complaint I have about Ki is his deep role. Too deep, as I think he could do well more forward. But maybe it's Lenny's order.

Playing more advanced would be doable if he was partnered with Kayal, or in a 3 man CM, but it's out of the question just now, if Ki sits forward that means Brown has to sit back and cover, and he's just not very good defensively.

We need another midfielder that has better defensive qualities, there's nobody that can provide proper backup for Kayal in the squad right now.

Thats why we miss Ledley. Good pairing who covered for each other. Miss them badly just now.
