CONTROVERSIAL reality TV hit The Scheme will return to our screens later this month - complete with its infamous missing episodes.

BBC Scotland bosses last night revealed it will show the WHOLE four-part series from May 16 - along with a fifth bonus show.
Fans of the telly smash - charting life on two tough Kilmarnock estates - were left devastated last year when it was pulled after just two episodes, following the arrest of one of its 'stars' Steven McMurray.
By that time it had already turned dog Bullet and his junkie owners Marvin Baird and Dayna McLaughlin into household names.
Now the first episode is to be repeated a day before Dayna, 19 - caged for breaking a drug treatment order - is freed from jail.
And last night residents were bracing themselves for the return of the TV phenomenon which caused an outcry with scenes of domestic violence, drugs and crime.
Local SNP Holyrood candidate Willie Coffey said: "I'm not happy about that programme darkening our screens again. The community is up in arms about how they've been portrayed by the filmmakers." The Scheme - filmed on the Onthank and Knockinlaw estates - pulled in 508,000 viewers. But it was halted for legal reasons when thug McMurray, 17, was arrested for assault. He was later locked up for four months.
The show's return was delayed further when a second case emerged.
Now fans will see the first two shows on May 16 and 17, followed by the unseen episodes on May 23 and 24. A fifth instalment filmed this year will air on May 30.
Nearly 30,000 viewers backed a Facebook site calling on TV chiefs to "Lift the Ban on The Scheme".

I watched the show and thought it was very interesting but I dont think they should bring it back. Total exploitation, think of the effect this has had on their already shattered lives. these people were never given a chance in life and after this its probably kicked away the last leg just for the enjoyment of the rest of us. not on, competely unacceptable

    as for bullet, LEGEND:50:

Because I grew up in a cooncil scheme I find programmes like this interesting. But I have to admit Hunterhill was one of Paisley's better housing estates. All to often shows like this make me embarrassed to be Scottish though.
