  1. I need help for me and my father to go to the San Siro from either Glasgow, Glasgow Prestwick or Edinburgh to an airport in Milan of course.

My father believes it is possible for himself to get his own ticket and he is relying on me sort out flights and accomodation from 6th March to the 8th March....

    Any help appreciated
    Connor

P.S. If anyone knows any hotels close to the stadium to stay in, please let me know.

For flights to Linate then its got to be KLM from Glasgow International. As for Accommodation try Alpha Rooms or Cosmos:50:

  5. Okay, thank you.

  6. Will I have to stop for Amsterdam on the way though?

Sorry for all the questions, my dad was in Amsterdam five years ago so he might remember it.

Yea you will need to change flights in Amsterdam.:50:

  8. Okay, thanks.

I have lots of different ideas at the moment, and I'm trying to think of the best way.

Air France appeared to be cheaper and it went directly there from Edinburgh.

With Air France you will need to change in Paris.

I would only recodment doing this if you are used to booking flights online. Fly with Easyjet from Glasgow to Berlin then Berlin to Milan. You will need to book both as seperate bookings, all in al it will cost £85 return.:50:

  12. That'd be hard work though. :56:

I'm struggling with the whole idea to be honest, I would be waiting hours for another flight to Milan though.

The only direct flights to Milan from Scotland are to Milan Bergamo. Ryanair operate them from Glasgow Prestwick.

Yes, but isn't that a good bit away from the San Siro?

Done a search and couldn’t find anything on distance from Bergamo to the San Siro.

It might be further to travel once in Milan but it will save you from changing flights at another airport.

  17. Yes, Milan Bergamo's a good bit out though. Taxis would be dear I believe though, to take us back all that way and I'm looking at hotels around 15 minutes away from the San Siro.

    Alright lads

I fly to Milan a few times a season from Prestwick for the Milan derbies and 1 or 2 other games involving Inter.

A hotel I often use is Hotel Canova near to Milan Centrale Station which is handy for airport shuttle buses. Its approx £30pppn. Cheap and clean. Its also close to subway. Stadium on red line(Lotto station) A tram also goes direct from Duomo Square to the stadium-takes about 20mins

Milan Bergamo is approx 1 hour on shuttle bus and can be booked online for about £7 return on Terravision website-link on Ryanair home page.

Anyone planning on going over for a few days and want to do it very cheap heres a tip for them

Fly via Stansted to Genoa with Ryanair £0.79+taxes at the moment. Genoa is around 60-90mins away from Milan by train(train is not expensive)

If anyone is prepared to leave Milan at the crack of dawn on return journey. Fly from Bergamo to Oslo Torp then from Oslo to Prestwick, again flights are very cheap

And please dont drink the city dry. The Milan derby is 3 days later and I am going over for it

  19. Thanks for the information Aldo, I think I'm sorted anyway... :50:

Wish I could have spoilt myself or be spoiled by watching the Milan derby also. :84:

    Enjoy your match.....
