although i think ki will move on at some point, i think we will still get a few seasons out of him :) .. cant say i felt the same about kayal, i thought we were only going to have him till the end of this season and he's off, but will just need to see how he does when he comes back now!

but the way ki is playing just now, hes managing to be an auto select on the team sheet, so i cant see any reason why he would want to move. seems a pretty loyal guy

Cheers i was told he was deffo up but thought it was false due to zero press picking up on it . Man Utd looked at him in the past after impressing as a kid with FC Seoul on pre season tour.

:icon_mrgreen:This is one time i am more than happy enough to tell Fergie hands off love watching the lad here delight to watch hope he stays for a long time.

As much as I love Ki, I would love even more to see him playing for one of the top teams in Europe, although we'd need to be rewarded with an 8 figure sum. Since the retirement of Scholes, Ki is the best passer of a ball in Britain even his weaker left foot would probably make the top 10. As when you think people think Charlie Adam is one of the top passers in England and Ki has a better left foot than his, the others are probably Drogba, Rooney, Gerrard and im struggling to think of many others who are up there.

Hope to see him bursting the net tomorrow!

Excellent range of passing, good close control. How can he be denied a championship medal by mcculloch and edu? If he keeps up this form we will win this league.

Its one of the most confusing things in Football, every other League basically the best team always wins, Dortmund, AC Milan, Barcelona, Lille, Man U all easily the best team to watch in their Leagues last season all won the League.

Then you have us in Scotland, players like Izaguirre, Kayal, Ledley, Ki, Hooper playing excellent stuff and we lose the title to Weir, Whittaker, Edu, McCulloch, Papac, Naismith and the rest :43: * who can barely string two passes together that have only won 1 in their last 24 games in Europe and who we played off the pitch 5/6 times in one season :31:

    I blame the Refs :50:

You're not the only one mate.

To get it back on topic though. The team is playing well, Ki is playing well, we should keep up this form and win the league at a canter. The way we used to, back when we took it for granted we would be playing against twelve men and just outplayed the opposition with sheer football.

After all, we are the finest in the land WE LOVE THEM

I'm not sure that he impressed anyone during the FC Seoul tour (he didn't play much during the game) but he seems to be impressing a lot of scouts these days.

He should obviously stay with Celtic. Most Koreans fans seem to think so as well. This is a young side that has a lot of potential to win the league and go far in Europe when healthy. Additionally, Ki's improvements in several aspects of the game under Lennon are easily noticeable.

As for Ki today, I thought he did ok. At the start of the second half he looked like he'd been asked to play a more advanced role which i thought would bring dividends but after the first 5-10mins of the second half he seemed to drop back to a more orthodox CM role. Which baffled me because with Maloney playing just behind Stokes we desparately needed to get more bodies into advanced positions. Maloney performed well in the first 45 before doing his disappearing act but too many times he was dropping way to deep which was leaving Stokes isolated up front. It doesn't matter whether it's SPL defences or Premiership ones, a 5 against 1 ratio is never good odds for the striker. Commons is way off form and Brown is an average CM playing RM to accomodate him due to his captains status which left a lot of the onus on Ledley and Ki to try and push forward and today's match isn't a game for Ledley.

It looked to me like Ki wasn't entirely sure about leaving him sitting whilst he moved further forward, as he has been doing with Kayal, which meant neither got close enough for a sustained period of time to help generate sustained attacking pressure. And the more the game went on the more Ledley seemed to hide and refuse to take on responsibility.

Interesting times ahead for Neil. Possibly the first time in his admittedly short managerial career that people are starting to query his team selections and judgements. I have faith that he will sort it out sooner rather than later.

Good post Sergei - can't really argue.

Think it was noticeable how infrequently people timed good runs into the box - ideally it's Ki you're wanting playing the pass so would've liked Commons, Brown (and then Forrest and McCourt) making well-timed diagnol runs between the defenders.

But it seemed there was never anything on. No target.

at the moment it seems he's keeping play going without finding the killer pass which is something we needed.

I think a player like Bellamy would be perfect for Ki or vice-versa.

Someone that will make great runs, that's when Ki can make the killer passes:50:

who else thinks we should sell him? he is a heartless player with no passion that can't seem to cope with any type of pressure. I think we should sell him for 10 million if there's still any bidders left. Our midfield won't miss him at all.

I would doubt we would get £10m for him although I would definetlely sell him for that price. My opinion hasn't changed because of tonight, I still think he is a quality player who can only get better. Everybody has their off games but with £10m we could seriously strengthen the rest of our squad.

    Clueless.

No passion? People seem to think passion is something psycho midfielders have because they fly into challenges trying to snap legs.

He's struggled the last few games but he's still probably our best player overall.
