they lack creative spark at times, but altho Ki can pick out some great passes, he doesnt try them often enough, so even with Ki in there we would still lack a creative spark

I think thats a bit short sighted hammer, Ledley is 28 and Ki is 22 i think, Ki will be playing long after Ledley has retired so to have that kind of statement is a bit shortsighted in my opinion.

The age thing brings me on to my next point, realistically ledley should be slightly better than Ki positionally, experience and this so called 90 minute dig, theres not a lot between them and yes possibly i agree ledley is in ahead of Ki right now but there's 6 years between them and Ledley is not 6 years ahead of Ki, if Ki can improve year on year he will become a better player than Ledley is or will become.

Im not putting Ledley down kemo as ive said hes still for me slightly ahead of Ki its just annoying for people to come on here in this post about Ki and how he played well and people feel the need to right after praising Ki for a good performance relate him to Ledley and how he is still behind him or a worse player or whatever you want to call it.

Is it not easy to praise Ki on a good game and not try to play * for tat against Ledley.
I think its great for celtic to have 3/4 really promising midfielders who will have a large part to play next season, all of Brown, Ki, Kayal and Ledley will all play a substantial amount of games next season.

I have praised Ki several times in the last few weeks since he has filled in for Ledley, he had a great game yesterday as well.

    Good man.

Ledley is 24 and is just coming into his prime. He will get better and better over the next 2 seasons.

As will Ki, no doubt about that. Their competition with each other should help them both improve as players, no complacency or just assuming you will get into the first team.

To be fair the last few posts have made an excellent point.

As mentioned we have 3/4 first team players with huge potential in CM

This along with the youth like the twardzik (spellcheck?) bros. we have a squad with huge potential that could realistically walk the SPL for quite a few years. As long as they train hard and realise what it means to pull on a celtic top, which i thnk most of the team do unlike last season, then i can only see good things in the future.

    sums it up perfectly.

doesnt matter if you prefer ki over ledley or ledley over ki. they both are very good players and will continue to improve in the next few years. kayal too is only gonna get better with age and experience.

a good CM partnership can be the difference between a good team and a * one, if we keep these 3 players then we know that we will have a good centre of midfield for many years.

He's done it again, cracking finish today. Getting noticed due to his goals now but his overall game has been fantastic since the season started. He could be a key player this year in my opinion.
