He reminds me of jelavic. Think he would do great at celtic him stokes, him hooper up front days when were playing ona bad pitch. He's far better at heading the ball than sammy. * so is my daughter!

Ras is actually "only" 6"1 so he is not your typical big target man but i think he is a born poacher who can head the ball and score. Might prove to be handy next season as europe against top teams as a lone striker

Don't know if his lack of pace would affect him when playing against better teams but his goal scoring record and having watched him play in person plus footage certainly does suggest that he would be able to score in the SPL. So that means he could be a good squad player to have.

His best spell was with Brondby when he got 44 in 84 which is 1 goal every two games. Since then he's been a bit of a journeyman with only 8 appearances for us (with 2 goals) and then on to Mainz and Aalborg where he's played 5 and 8 games respectively with 2 and 4 goals for each team.

If he was playing for Celtic in the SPL he'd certainly get the service so it might save the club a bit of money on bringing in someone new as back up.

I say back up because I would start Stokes, Hooper and even Samaras before him and the fact that Lennon did send him out on loan suggests that he doesn't rate him very highly.

Hooper/Stokes playing behind Rasmussen would be grand. Get Samaras to *.
Hopefully the guy gets a chance to impress over summer.

Get rid of daryl murhy , he is the worst celtic striker I can remember , closely followed by samaras , get rid of both of them ,

We need to bring in another striker next year [a tall striker] and spend a good bit o money on him , I think this new srtiker could play with hooper , and if injuries occur than Stokes or Rasmussen can come in [think rasmussen is the type of player you can bring on when you are struggling to score , and * get you that breakthrough]

you could take Murphy to a car boot sale and he wouldnt get sold , why would anybody wnat him , how did he ever become a proffesionl footballer

I like Rasmussen...hes a poacher striker and a good player. Would play him ahead of samaras and murphy anyday. Really hope he stays and gets a run in the team.

I'd rather play Rasmussen than Samaras, according to Wikipedia he's already scored 4 goals in 8 appearances for Aalborg BK, that sounds promising and it's a better ratio than Sammy already.

him n hooper would be a good option when the going get tough, big fan of the rass, i keep wantin him to do well and get back in the team, something tells me he could be a great celtic player and have a fear if he goes elsewere ( not on loan , perm) then we could soon see that being a regretable thing

He has been absolutely fantastic in Denmark recently. He is the only reason Aalborg is surviving in the league. They were destined for relegation but he has scored in the last 6 games for them and it looks like they will survive!

I think we should give him another go, dont really understand why he went away in the first place but everyone keeps saying we need a target man for the games like Motherwell at fir park and St Johnstone at McDiarmid park but maybe we already have one lol although he might not be the tallest he is a poacher and thats what we need in these games someone who doesnt come into the channels just someone that stays in the box.

Look from 1.25 and then 2.50 for his goals, first one a good poachers goal and the second one I thought was a well taken goal!

Scored the first goal in this video, great goal aswell :50:

I would like to think he has a future at Celtic. I have always quite liked him and I think he could do a job for us, but I fear he may not get a game/chance as he is not one of Lennys signings.

We do need a target man type player in the squad. Whether he is the man to take that role I'm not too sure. I don't think Lenny rates him. Would be unfair to get rid without giving him a proper chance though.

I think Rasmussen should be given a few pre-season games see how he fairs.
As well as Juarez, Keatings and a few other youngsters.

Should be given a chance mulgrew was given that 2nd chance and look at the player he has turned out to be. Ramussen is a player i feel will score a barrowload of goals for us given the chance.

End of the day goals win games and our defense is strong enough to keep them out so its a no brainer. Win win situation for us
