loved artur best celtic keeper i have seen ,but in the man,s own words he let himself go last season , we all loved him no matter what and he let his fitness and training deteriorate ,he stopped working on his game and lost his edge ,his constant winding up the huns although amusing at times stopped him reaching the level he should have , i would have preferred artur to have ignored rangers supporters and came off the pitch with a clean sheet that would have really got them and artur would have been a true legend , so much as i would like don,t think he,l be back , pity for we need a keeper .:50:

I think I have come across as ungrateful sometimes.

That's due to my anger towards Boruc and the anger is because we all know he can be world-class at his best. There's no doubt that Celtic got their money's worth and Artur has left me with some fantastic memories. I belted out "The Holy Goalie" just as loud as everyone else and was so pleased to have a goal-keeper of Boruc's quality between the sticks for two and bit seasons.

I just can't get my head around the statement that Boruc loves the club and the fans. The Celtic support turned up weekly and showed their support for Artur Boruc through the good times and the bad. There's nobody as ungrateful as Artur Boruc, the man didn't even have it in him to lose the belly and attempt to get back to his best, after all the support he received from the stands.

I absolutely adore him, what a guy, and a real world class keeper when he wanted to be, but I don't think he will, or should, come back.

I'll keep the great memories of him and leave it.

I understand your frustration, trust me I do. There isn't a Celtic fan alive that will defend Artur Boruc to the hilt more than I will but even I could see he was overweight and it made me sad to see him in the state he was in at times.

I think to begin with it was his marriage going down the tubes that was to blame for Artur's mind wandering and his weight ballooning but there obviously did come a point where he just wasn't putting in 100% anymore. It's hard for me to stomach the fact that there was a point in time where he wasn't giving 100% because he's my favourite ever Celtic player but he said it himself so it must be true.

Overall though, when people look at what Artur did for Celtic as a player I fail to see how they can reach any conclusion other than to say he was brilliant for us. For 3 seasons he was excellent for us and for 2 of those 3 seasons I'd say he was pretty much as good as any keeper anywhere.

If other people can't find it in their heart to forgive him for not giving 100% for a short while then that's their own personal prerogative I suppose. Personally I do forgive him and I will always remember him as the best goalkeeper and the biggest character I have ever seen play for Celtic.

Obviously Artur did let himself go big time in his second last season here but a lot of that I think was down to his personal life and marriage break up. Folk will say he should have remained focused on the football when he went on to the pitch but that's so much easier said than done, and Artur obviously didn't deal well with that at all. I'm not shifting blame here as obviously Artur shouldn't have got to the point where he was overweight but the club's management should have dealt with a lot better than they did.

It's a crying shame that his form went the way it did in his second last season but he'll always be a legend in my eyes. My favourite ever Celt bar Larsson maybe.

never works 2nd time, loved the holy goaly and think this team would complement his talents but sure he gets bored playing lesser teams, hence the dip in his form

Watched a video a short time ago of his time at Fiorentina, his first game he got man of the match and since then he has been steady while Frey has been out injured. He looks slimmer and much happier when playing football but he obviously isnt happy being under-study to Frey! I always said to my mates that I wouldnt take him back but after watching that video the phrase 'Form is temporary, class is permanent' came into my head, he dipped in form due to off-field issues but now I think he has his personal life back on track, think I remember seeing he has a new g.f and is settling down with her. In my mind he still has his best years ahead of him as the keepers reach their peak mid-late 30's so I would not be against him signing for us again!

cfc sums it up perfectly for me form is temporary class is permanent. His off the field troubles and own personal problem of motivation seems to have been temporary and is doing very well in Italy, i would take him back instantly although i can see why others would be cautious on such a move.

After all that ill tell you what Best keeper on his day ive seen for a long time, world class at times and ill never forget some of the moments he gave us.

My only regret about Artur Boruc is that we didn't have him in Seville. If we'd had a 'keeper of that quality in Seville we'd have brought home the UEFA Cup that night. I really believe that.

I agree, if there's one criticism i would level at MON it would've been his failure to secure a top class GK.

No thanks. He let himself go here and that was nobodys fault but his own. He went to Italy, lost weight and got himself back in shape etc.. If he'd kept himself in top form here then yes, but as it stands, no thanks.

He came, he did fantastic for us, gave us many great performances and memories, and endeared himself to the fans. He wanted to go and he left. Do I want him back?....No, we are moving forward as a team, great keeper as he was I wouldn't have him back. Thanks for the memories.
