    Hey guys,

Had a query in work about Celtic 1973-1974 season, we have a book here which says that Celtic missed out on the treble after losing the league cup final to Dundee United. However this proves to be wrong as we lost it to Dundee. Just wanting to confirm though, does anyone know for sure that we did win the double? I've had a look on the net and can't find much, hoping someone here will know!

    Cheers :celt_2:

Won the league that year as last of 9 in a row
Beat Dundee Utd in Cup Final 3-0
But lost League Cup Final of 73-74 (in December 73) in front of only 28000 fans to Dundee. Railway strikes and energy restrictions, therefore not enough power for floodlights meant a lunchtime kick off as the Heath Government tumbled and Britain was in grips of a "3 day week"
If you think this is a recession now, you should have been around then!
