I can take plenty of positives from that performance (aswell as negatives, but let's not go there)

One person who should get a special mention is Samaras. He was phenomenal today and his work rate is second to none.

What positive's can you all draw from the game?

You can all see I'm doing my best to not get downbeat over this!!! :50:

Samaras's work rate you cannot fault but the amount of times today someone was open for a pass and he just ran into 3 defenders and had the ball taken off him was shocking, had me screaming at the telly.

Samaras was a 50/50 mate.....looked truely amazing, then his next 3-4 touches * in a can!

The only positives I would take is thast Ledley added to his goals-scoring tally...other than that, the whole team looked poor.

I cant take any positives from that today, im not overly gutted though, if it was a league game i would be.
We got our complacent game out the road now lets refocus, onwards and upwards.:50:

No positives. On the negative side I seen Samaras work hard with no end product. He hung around the left wing and played very deep. He is a striker not a central midfielder or left midfielder.
He needs to score regularly if he wants to play for Celtic. He does not have the same understanding with Hopper that Stokes has.

We have been here before and had the last laugh. I remember singing YNWA at the end of the semi final in 1998 feeling the same and we went on to stop 10iar.

As for today, the reaction in the first half was decent and we could even have went ahead if the Brown header was just the other side of the post. Izzy never stopped running as well

Keep the faith and lets back the bhoys to the title

The problem with Sammy is that the forwards he plays with are not quite on his level. Saw the same with Keane last year. Watch his face, his eyes. He is looking for a pass that WILL get through, looking to see what players are being drawn off from their markers.

He made passes today that would have cut up the Huns defense but Hoops wasn't on the same level.

I don't mean to sound lke I'm putting Hooper down. He WILL get there. He is young, has ambition. He will get there.

Thompson has already said that Sammy will be a huge part of the team in the next few years. This is why.

When the other forwards are at the same level of intelligence, you will see Sammy shine. Just watch his off the ball work.

If we had Dalglish there instead of Hooper, you would see it now.

Watch Sammy over the next two yrs as Hooper matures.

    Hail hail.

Ledley was super first half, he cut out most of the Rangers passes. Samaras and Commons, Forster, Rogne were crap.

Thought forster was superb today. A lot of people critisising kayal and i thought he was strong for us. Loovens came on and played well, distribution was very good. Ki came on and had a few neat touches. Ledleys goal and commitment can be admired and finally samaras had a few nice touches and didnt stop.

One thing also, we were *, rangers were GOOD and it went to extra time, thats the big positive, we can play better and they cant

Jesus Christ, you must have very low expectations if you thought Samaras was "phenomenal". He was rank * rotten, just like the majority of his team mates.

Positives from today would be that we will not be complacement in the next game at ipox. I would take that defeat today for a win in the next game.

I reckon the only positive today was that the team got A good boot in the *. Been blatantly obvious that some of the players have been beleiving their own press as of late (hooper springs to mind) but this will make them realise they ain't individually as good as they think and that the team isn't that good that we can turn up and put in a half arsed performance and still beat the Huns. They looked as they thought they only had to show up to win. Well now they know otherwise and that should stand them in good stead for the future.

Spot on, even in the 1st half i thought we were poor yet we still matched them even though it was obvious they were putting much more into it, second half we got worse and they continued in the same vain, at our best were still a superior team imo, although maybe not in the CBs positions, atm anyway.
