[Cross Platform] Homefront

Alright guys, the games out tomorrow anyone getting it? Been told the story mode isnt too great it's a bit short but decent but the multiplayer is awesome a 16v16 multiplayer.

im thinking about getting this im going to wait a week or so to see the reactions it gets but it does look like a good game

 

I got it yesterday mate started the story seemed ok so far. As for online play aint really had a bash at it properly only had 1-2 games which seemed decent enough had some fun but would have more when I know some people who got it.

Will give it the weekend

let me know how you like it when you have played more online my problem is i play black ops that much i compare everything to that and i havent found any game as good as the call of duty series

 

I have it. Focused on the single-player (which I finished). It is more than slightly short but it was * good. They weren't kidding when they said you had to use your wits about you and manage your ammo etc as you're changing guns a lot.

Going to try the multi-player later to see what all the fuss is about. Sadly no matter what this game is or does, it will forever be compared to COD. A shame as it's pretty decent in it's own right.

PS - One thing I would point out, if you play on Guerilla difficulty (the hardest, similar to Veteran on COD) be prepared to die some of the cheapest and dirtiest deaths you could come across in a game. Ever.

 

let us know how the multiplayer is mate....... looking for a black ops replacement as its full of cheating wee nerds and the spawn killing is a joke

Multiplayer is good guys although i would recommend playing it with a couple of mates as its totally reliant on teamwork and moving as a team.

Example - Some people move in 3 or 4s and you can run into them and blast one then the rest get you. There is also team helicopters and team HumVee's which you again need team work as one drives and another one fires.

Overall I think the multiplayer is good but is always going to be compared to COD and I suppose if you go in comparing it straight away it's going to fail. Best thing would be to go on with a open mind and play it as Homefront NOT COD, NOT Battlefield..Just Homefront.

 

Caught a glimpse of my mate playing this today, looked good. Seemed to be a mix of MAG and Battlefield, as has been suggested in the reviews. I will definitely be picking up a copy and trying it.

 

Ive got it, even although the story is very short, The story-line makes up for that, aswell as the outstanding 32 Multiplayer which actually requires some skill, Unlike cod...

 

Few guys in my work said it's not worth the buy, single player meant to be quite good but short and the multiplayer is tedious at times, but the maps are massive. I've gave up on Call of Duty now, it's just a cash cow that Activision are milking for all it's worth and no new features that excite you are implemented into the game anymore. Think I'll be keeping my cash for Battlefield 3 later in the year.

 

Got it the last day. The story is great but multiplayer is very hard and the maps are too big.

 

i just finished it today playing it on guerilla difficulty, i only started it on saturday. The single player is really good, just not long enough. I think the multiplayer is refreshing as it's a bit of a change from cod, it's like a mix of battlefield & MAG.

 

Modern warfare 3 ment to be coming out this year and heard the sniping gameplay alone will nbe 2nd to none. Heard that with black ops aswell lol

There's a lot of great games out this year. I might trade in dragon age 2 and get this or wait and get crysis 2 tomorrow

 

I wish there was a Korean campaign. The story is great, and the gameplay is good. Too short, though.
