its a bit different, obviously when paddy and sammy play well they are exceptional, both of them, but when paddy has played "bad" this season, hes just not been what we like to see, hes been average at times, but when sammy is bad, he's absolutely rotten, bi-polar

if paddy played as bad as sammy does often, everyone would be all over it like a rash, like they are with sammy

but he's a great player at times and im glad hes staying tbh

think 4 yrs is bit too much for an incosistent player, 2 year contract would be more suited. great player on his day though. pity his day is so rare some times

we were all calling for him to leave and now he is the best player in the world.

I would like to see how he does when we are second place, a couple of points behind rangers and playing hamilton away on a wet wednesday night and needing a goal.

I agree i think his performances have been great and with hooper and stokes up front they should be good enough to get the goals but it depends how much we expect from big sammy. But i think with lennon in charge he will be kept in shape. Espescially when lennon wanted him out and is now considering a 4year contract

maybe we have never used him in his best position. Think he is a good option up front espescially after the motherwell game where you needed a tall player to hold it up or head it on. Think thats why we went for murphy

I'm happy. Good player to have in the squad imo, even though he can be very frustrating.

    Overall, good news. :50:

notice how he is better off of the left wing!

I don't buy any of that. Other than a few assits and a class goal or two he hasn't done much in any the games he's played.

He began starting a few games and ultimately ballsed it up because he wasn't contributing over and sustained period of time.

Samarad isn't as dire as made out and his work often goes unnoticed even in games where he's been outstanding (for the role given) he's been classed as * or average or lackadasical(sp)

he's a scapegoat just like broony was at one point but I trust the powers that be that a new deal is too our benefit.. Well that and my own opinion of what sammy is as a player.

I hope he bangs in 20 goals a year and becomes the striker a lot think he is.. But for my money he's worth more than goals.. If you understand how he's being deployed.

Didnt expect a 4 year contract, was thinking maybe a 2 year one. When he's up for a game, he's as good as anyone we have. He proved that at Ibrox.

:50: always works his * off, frustrating as * but he's an excellent player.

surprised its 4 years but we'll see if true, it is the daily rangers of course.

Many of our squad have had many worse moments/games than Samaras and do not get the same criticism. In my opinion the most talented footballer in the S.P.L. and i ,for one, am delighted he is to get that contract. A superb young player with a great future.

not too sure about this, too inconsistent and dont think he deserves a 4 year deal

ive always been a fan of the big man, but the last week typified him, "world class" against the bigots, then running nowhere and breaking up play v hamilton. still not sure.

Why??? He doesn't fit in with Lenny's ethos!! He's the only player out there that has to take four - yes 4! - touches before he even decides what he wants to do with the ball. He slows the game down and for my money he is no team player! There is no i in team and I think we can get a better CF to hold off the huns CB's - that seems like all he used for right? Thanks for all you have done Sammy, but I think it's time you plied yourself somewhere else!
