    He's only 28

    10 years SPL experience

Still a lot of good years ahead of him

I agree Aberdeen would probably sell a lot cheaper because of his contract being over at the end of next season but I think SPL players are sold too cheap just cause they play in Scotland. You win and lose with Bosman but I dont like it-it makes individual players rich and clubs poorer. I think Bosman should not apply to players under 24 or something like that so that the clubs that bring through great players benefit from a fee and have incentive to carry on their youth systems.

Don't clubs have to be compensated for players under a certain age already?

    It's swings and roundabouts Keltoi

Aberdeen could lose Anderson on the cheap

We got Kenny Miller for nowt

But we could lose Maloney for the same

Anderson's a great player IMO but I don't see how he will be able to make himself a regular. He's not Celtic class.

To be fair to Dempsey,i think he only means that being Irish we have probably seen more of O'Shea as with our small pool of players we obviously do watch closely whenever 1 of ours makes the breakthrough in professional football. He wasn't suggesting that Scots are less aware,or anything like that.
And even in our recent disasterous run of results Cyprus, etc O'Shea has stood out as being very poor amidst many poor performances. And i didn't comment about Anderson as i only have really seen him against us and against the Huns.

    "Anderson not "Celtic class""

    What exactly is Celtic class??

    Telfer, Naylor, McManus, Wilson????

I would class Anderson as a far better accomplished defender than any of the above. Stands out more so as he is playing with weaker players at Aberdeen

Anderson might also might help the Celtic brand in its bid of world domination!

Think of the amount of shirts we could sell in Aberdeen!

He isn't any better than McManus, Caldwell or Badle IMO and if we are to progress and strengthen our defence, signing him would be a bad idea. He's not good enough.

I agree. How can he not be Celtic class when most neutrals would probably rate him as high as or possibly higher than Mick and certainly a fair bit higher than Caldwell (because of his inconsitancy). I dont think he would necessarily even be stuck on the bench for long. I am fairly certain WGS is going to make a bid soon. We only have two good centre backs other than Kennedy and we just do not know how he will be and how long it will take (at least a couple more months I would guess).

GD: I was agreeing with Aldo1. I am utterly clueless with computers. Just how do you lift and box the bit of a previous post you are retorting to?
