Just seen on BBC news that Capello's planning on playing Super Hooper in Englands Euro qualifier against Wales. Sorry no links but they said the story was in the English papers.:38:

Not that i want to sell him or anything but this should put his value up considerably.

If you are capped by England you are worth silly amounts of money usually

Sad thing is nowadays none of the average Joes concentrate on becoming a legend by winning this that and the other and having loads of medals to their names.......it's all about the next big move and the next big wage. We've seen this with the likes of Keane and Bellamy :54:

Bellamy went to Cardiff because it's his boyhood club ffs, not because he got more money there. Man City are paying most of his wages.

And at least if he breaks into squad he might want to stay here for a few years insteand of leaving to ''enhance is England chances''

Seeing as i dont give 2 * about International football i hope he does well and scores

Hooper playing for England alerts more clubs to his ability, which is something we don't need right now. I can see the vultures in England drooling at the very thought of being able to go along and watch him in action for England.

Listen I'm no expert here but to be honest I think Hooper is terrific for us....it wouldn't be hard to shine in this league  and there might even be more to come from him who knows. The guy needs time to settle down and show us just how good he is...yes he's banged in a few goals but is he going to be in the same class as the likes of Larsson? We don't know but we're hopeful. Given all of that I can understand hope and expectation that he may do well playing for England but until he shows us just how great he is I don't see the premier clubs hammering on the door. I think if he continues in present form he will attract some attention in another season at least.

The Cardiff forward who played for England hasn't been bought yet, shows playing for England does not automatically make you get a 'big' move.

I'd love to see him play, partly to my English mates who put all things Celtic down and because he's a great player and deserves it.

    Ledley V Hooper hopefully :icon_mrgreen:

He won't look out of place either, he has no glaring holes in his game maybe barring heading. His strength for someone of his build is unbelievable and he'll score goals in any company.
