Yeh having two defenders on the bench was a pretty random move, he must have been unfit, he played during the week didnt he in the reserves? Could have picked up a knock.

I think today highlighted the fact that he needs to be AT LEAST making the bench. Today he could have made a big difference coming on.

I know I am going to get pelters for this but firing the ball up to Murphy to use his physical presence and aerial power would have been more effective as we all know (in hindsight) that playing the celtic way was not going to work on that pitch

Got to agree mate. Personally I wouldve started with Sammy for his presence but as the game went on I wouldn't have been disappointed to see Murhpy come on. Route one was the order of the day.

i think paddy would have made a difference ,and the pitch would have no problems to him as he did play very well on the pitches here in Derry and throughout Ireland and lets be honest they are pretty bad to say the least ,,slan ,Mon the hoops ,,,,,

We'll never know but even if he was on the bench, the likelihood is he wouldn't have been on before it was 2-0 and for me (even though I was hoping until the last few minutes) it was game over after the pen.

Like a few others have mentioned, don't think the surface would have suited a dribbling style player at all.

I think Paddy would have really struggled on that pitch, trying to dribble for any length of time was a real problem for our players. I think a few people are right here, it was a physical presence that we missed, I know we like to play football but it was just impossible at the weekend.

With so many players having an off day Paddy would have (imo) made little impact. The game was crying out for someone to take a hold of it Ki and Broon didnt...with the hind sight the only thing i would have done diff was make the subs earlier, maybe gambled a half time...but hey thats hindsight.
