Celtic v Rangers cup replay

I agree there wasn't enough protection.. We didn't have Brown or Kayal playing so he had to put a team out , and the 3 guys you class as strikers didn't play as strikers.. Stokes and Sammy played as wide men often spending too much time worrying about Naismith and Papac down each side..
The biggest problem for me was that we conceded far too much territory because we rarely had the bodies forward to sustain attacks.. Hooper was isolated , attacks were starting deep in our half but breaking down when we got into the huns half..
Im sure we had lots of posession but it was pointless because it was in areas where we couldn't hurt them..

I think Lenny had already learned from this error in the last home OF game a week ago where wide players and Sammy had more freedom to play their natural games rather than worry about tracking huns.. Having Kayal and Brown obviously allowed that flexibility to happen also.. I wouldn't have a problem with Sammy , Stokes and Hooper all playing tomorrow from the start because we have a solid midfield now , It's just that with Ledley being out it might compromise us so I doubt that one from Sammy or Stokes will play..

Samaras will start again, Stokes dropping out. I'm not Samaras's biggest fan, takes more than a few good OF performances, but recently they just don't know how to handle him, his movement and pace is to much for them. ​

I would play Brown in the middle as i think this OF will be more of a battle in the middle than any other, and i would rather have Brown their than Ki. I think Ki is a really good player, but he seems to want to long on the ball and 1 mistake could be the difference tommorow night.​

 

I'd be happy for Juarez to come in instead of Ki and keep Brown out right but as others mentioned he hasn't shown anything near enough to suggest he can play a disciplined holding role.. I don't think he lacks any heart , just that he looks a bit all over the shop and it's not clear what his best position is..

 

I just can't see Commons not scoring.:icon_mrgreen:Would love to see Paddy on and score against them at some point in the game too.A Wilson goal would be fantastic and all.

Now i'm not one of these guy with my head up Juarez's *, one of the guys who always wants him to play, but how can you really judge him? He has hardly kicked a ball.

I can't help but get nervous for these games. Even if we were 20pts clear in the League and the huns hadn't win in 10 games, i would still be * myself.
