    I'm not saying this just because I want to stick up for my fellow supporters, but it didn't really sound like a lot of noise was being made on TV. Nobody in the media picked up on anyone booing either, which is strange. The only thing they slated us for was the "coughing incident". You know what the Scottish media is like. If anyone had been booing, it'd have been all over the papers. The silence was observed impeccably.

    I'm gonna get pelters for this but here goes it...

    There's no way point scoring, or any equal hate towards Rangers will solve this. The only path here is to do the hard thing as a collective support and forgive them. Singing songs back, making banners of them to wind them up or get back at them is just going to make them sit back and believe that what they do is worth it. This isn't about showing to the world the gulf in class between a Celtic and a Rangers fan, this is about showing to the Rangers fans, that whereas they aren't able to forgive a Catholic man for being alive, 3 years after his death, WE, as, not a support, but as a community that spans as far as your eyes can reach across the ocean, can forgive them for their bigoted views, and their violence towards us. We will get NOWHERE getting offended and angry at them. If we want them to stop we must make it blatantly obvious the errors of their ways, rather than combating them at their level.

    RIP Tommy; your memory held in every Tim's memory :shamrock::shamrock:

    I am shocked but at the same time not suprised by this. We all know what the Huns are like but i was at CP the day after TB had passed and there were a few R@>$£&s fans around. Obviously a lot of them had a lot of respect for a great man like Tommy which is understandable and was also quite touching. These reptiles in that vid should be drowned at birth! Cant understand how people could go so * low!

    * THE LOT OF THEM!!!!

    "Also I've just watched an online video of some Celtic fans singing horrible songs about the late Davie Cooper of Rangers, Rangers owner David Murray's disability, and the Ibrox Disaster. What makes these folk think such stuff is remotely acceptable?"

    Third comment on the mirror article. Just have to drag us down too :47:

    Sorry mate but I also disagree with this. It is a moronic thing to state that they are not decent Rangers fans, to be honest, I (I'm sure like many other here as well) know many. The guys comment was not 'fail', what seemed like 'fail' was your sardonic response.

    Just like us, ever so often a idiotic minority like those knobs in the video come to the fore and shame the wider, generally decent supporters. I hate those * and it disgusts me, but I am not gonna act all holier than thou and ignore some of the bile I have heard from a tiny minority of our support over the years. I have heard folk on the bus singing about the Ibrox disaster etc, and it embarrassed me at the time and it continues to do so. Just as any self respecting human being should feel about stuff like that. Can we just not all stop pretending that our club is free of all this hatred and enlightened or something, because it simply isn't.

    I am sure McCoist and Smith have just as much, if not more reason to be disgusted by this video, they knew and were friends with the great man.

    This is absolutely disgraceful and I cant believe they could sink so low. Tommy Burns was a man who always saw the good in others and sought to lessen the Old Firm divide through compassion. These Rangers "fans" should be banned from ever attending a football match again, the very least RFC could do to lessen their shame!

    Did I not already explain my post or are you just on a "being offended on behalf of your hun pals" trip too.. :rolleyes:

    This thread is about huns being lower than low and we have people like you brining our own support in it to even the score.. Well done , who needs newspapers or media to report on huns being lower than the low when some of our fans like you , and others on this thread seem happy to tar us both as the same..

    I think Ally McCoist's tribute to him the other day was nice. These fans are the lowest of the low and I'm sure if Walter and Ally heard this themselves they would be absolutely disgusted. As usual we find they can't sing about their on team, they have to sing something disgusting. What are support they are eh!

    Should have mentioned prior to the game in 1971 With a pal I was at the top ot the stairway that collapsed (before the game)to see if some of our mates were there and we had the green and white on there was no bother and some brands of highland water were exchanged, absolutely no problems,given the policing you couldnt do it now but the people are the same.The 5 young boys from Fife were in my wifes class at school. Saddens me to say it but they are not all bad.

    i dont believe the guy who says he doesnt know one alright hun. i know a fair few * huns but i know a fair few decent ones too. they are loyalist, protestant and proud of it but not bigoted. after all im proud of being a Catholic and a Republican, theres nothing wrong with either.
