How worried are you that we'll lose our big guns in the summer?

With some top class performances from Izzy, Kayal, Hooper etc i'm starting to get pretty nervous about the EPL vulchers coming in and snatching them from under us. Those 3 in prarticular make our team tick and regardless of the amount of money offered for them I think their contribution at the moment is priceless. Maybe i'm paranoid

 

if we can keep finding players of their quality then we havent got much to worry about i do hope we can hold onto them for at least another season...but if the price is right then....

 

couldnt agree more. its a very worrying possibility, especially if we are playing champions league next term. We need to hold on to our prize assets at least for another season!!!!

 

They're not going anywhere if we make the CL.

 

I'm extremely paranoid right now about them, lets hope Lenny does his best to keep them :icon_mrgreen:

Lenny will only do what he thinks is best for the club, it's up to him if he sells them for a price he thinks is too good to reject or he feels the price is not enough.

 

Yes this also crossed my mind and i am concerned. We need them signed up to longer stronger contracts.

 

I think none of our main players will be sold if we win the league as most guys will stay for a champions league season and also with the revenue that will bring.
The players leaving will be guys on the fringes of the squad a lot of those who are out on loan, odea, hutchinson, mcgowan, conroy, rasmussen, hooiveld and add loovens possibly two or three others if buyers can be found.

 

I don't think they will go anywhere if we keep playing like this and get the CL football. Although I feel one might end up getting taken.

 

I dont think Lenny will let them leave unless its his choice, Think he is strong enough to stand up to the board if needed.

 

Think we're in a position where we don't need to sell, and the players don't necessarily want to go.

They seem to be enjoying their football at Celtic, and will fancy another crack at Europe.

We will chop a few players from the squad this summer, but I don't think they'll be key players.

Our top Bhoys won't be leaving until at least next summer - unless we get offered silly money of course.

 

We've got them under contract and Lennon will do everything in his power to keep our key players. If a crazy bid comes in that we can't possibly refuse, then that player will be leaving, every player has a price. However, I don't see our key players going anywhere this summer.

 

Hopefully well show some resolve and tell any bidders their wasting their time, weve got them on long term contracts and Celtic fc are not a selling club, unless and obscene amount of dosh is offered but even at that id be reluctant.

lets enjoy this stuff just now, we will see what happens in the summer. Lenny will command a lot of loyalty and respect in our dressing room and if we end up with silverware then our best performers will want more and more of it, they wont get that at Wigan or Wolves

 

Depends on who lenny wants to sign and what offer we get......silly money always wins.

 

I think the biggest challenge will be holding on to Kayal. He is so * good! As long as we demmand MASSIVE fees for him and any other, and do it early so we have time to replace them and for the team to gel, then I will be ok with it. I think Kayal and Izzy will want to get another year at Celtic first.

 

Lenny should by all accounts tell them to * off for at least 1-2 seasons, unless an offer comes in that isn't insulting or a ridiculous amount.

CL football is one of the few things that keeps these teams at bay and tbh they're all smart guys they would probably know if they left they would be spending half the season warming the bench for whoever they go to.

Will these players leave? Eventually but it should be on our terms, Ferguson has made a lot of noise about wanting to nick a couple of players but he should * off until we're ready, not him.

 

we have to keep the nucleas of this team together for a long while in order to reap the best possible rewards, the main nucleas being izaguirre, rogne, kayal, ledley, juarez, brown, hooper and stokes. If we do then i really do think we'll have an outstanding team
