One of the most one sided games against them ive seen in a good while ,,rangers offered nothing going forward and Celtic ripped them apart going forward ,,they are all good footballers but they are also hard with it ,they fight for everything and you can see this team is a unit ,brilliant team performance today.

I really think that's the game that won the season,you can see the lack of depth in the Huns squad telling now.
I fully expect us to knock them out of the cup and go on to win the league by 10-15 points
I just hope we can keep our best players in the summer and strengthen the squad even more.

 

Brilliant game, atmosphere top notch! it should be like that EVERY game, not just because it's rangers. Superb today.

 

I thought this was the game where we would either stutter or prove the tide had really turned. The tide has turned. We are much stronger since New Year and Rangers system just doesnt work without Miller. I think the key is that the team is full of team players and a good number of them are fighters. Its the first time we have looked like a tight mentally strong team unit with game intelligence for a couple of years.

As for the players

Forster-7-not a lot to do but did fine
Wilson-8-Again a poweful perfomance
Izz-9-the guy is a gem
Maj-6.5-looked a bit positionally dodgy early on but came onto a good game
Mulgrew-7.5-Has shown he can play CH well against even Rangers. Maybe worth persisting with there and training him further.
Kayal-8-Incredible battler
Ledley-6.5-Did a shift although some errors at times

Brown-7-Not quite the giddy heights of the last game but was an important influence and was everywhere
Common-6.5-Thought he was poor for the first hour but then came onto a great game
Hooper-9-Along with Izz and Kayal they could all be hugely sought after soon. Hooper is a quality old style out and out goal machine.
Sammy-7-Put in a great shift. Hard game for him but i think Lenny was right to play him. Rangers CHs are experienced and physical and I think Sammy seems to present problems for them more than I think Stokes would although Stokes would fairly be a bit gutted not to play given the run he is on.

Team-I think the secret is being solid and good movement. always looking for the man on and keeping it simple. i think we traditionally get hung up on dribblers and they tend to be fan favourites but personally I think they often lack vision and the team suffers as a unit. Lenny seemed to be following the wee wingers idea pre-XMas but I think we are miles better with Brown on the right and Commons (who is much more direct than a old style winger) on the left.

Its now hard to believe we wont win the title.
