whats the deal with people from abroad and the city of sydney, besides those australians who live there, everyone in australia hates the place, Id rather go to alice springs than go to sydney

my favourite city out side of australia is london, great city.

A trip to the Holy Land is my next planned destination, currently saving up for it as it will be pretty expensive there is just so much I want to see over there and it looks pretty expensive.

Paris has a fantastic romantic atmosphere to itself that can't be replicated I reckon.
LA is fabolous if you love the sun, palm trees and all the Hollywood Gltz, and San Francisco holds a certain magic of its own. I think it comes down to the individual's own unique experience.

I REALLY like San Diego California. Best in the USA in my book.

Haven't had much experience overseas. I was born in Heidelberg Germany (US Army "brat") and lived there about 8 years in two different stints growing up. Germany is too cold though.

Barcelona does look like a winner to me, perhaps like a San Diego in climate?

Austin, Texas where I live is pretty good though. Decent climate, good economy, lot's of outdoor activities, great live music and club scene. Just have to put up with the Univ. of Texas Longhorns 24/7.

    1) Rome. Awesome place. I love history and architecture so really there's no place better. Full of Italian hotties as well! :50:

    2) NYC. Did it on a budget so would like to go back one day with a bit of cash. It's hard to pay attention to where you're going as you spend all your time looking up at the buildings or recognising scenes from movies etc.

    3) Munich. Another place with history (much of it terrible of course). The massive triumphant imperial buildings with their massive stone lion statues etc really tell a story. They also serve beer in huge glasses and when you order a steak you get half a cow's * with none of the poncy salad and coleslaw taking up space on the plate. Braw!

Great city, spent about a week there 4 years ago and loved it. Really laid back, friendly and not too crowded at all. Weather is top notch, too.
Would definitely go back one day.

Few were talkin about LA earlier, I wasn't fussed tbh. I thought it was a bit of a dump, especially Hollywood. Didn't mind Santa Monica in fairness, but I wouldn't hurry back.

New York, Toronto and Sydney are 3 of my favourites.

I've only ever been abroad once so I haven't seen any of the places I really want to see yet. :54:

The city I would most like to visit is Rome. There is so much culture and beautiful architecture in that city, I want to see it some day. I also want to visit St. Peter's square and the basilica.
