Last month was the first time i saw Lennon learning about tactics, from the OF game forward he started getting it right, for one, dropping the 2 wingers approach has been key, we maintain our threat but also keep solid at the back, and the fact brown can come in field helps us retain possesion with 3 CMs and allowed wilson to get forward more, hopefully he continues with this and doesnt put forrest straight back in on the other flank.

Secondly our pressing game has vastly improved, we press high up the park very much starting with the strikers, they work very hard off the ball to get it back and i think the players have realised press from the the top make the other team punt the ball up the pitch and we get possesion back quickly and easily, and at other times we press in packs limiting the options for the player in possesion and getting the ball back.

I hope we continue with this as it seems to be going very well, This weekends game is a big test, but if these tactics are used again i believe we have a good chance, only downside is it requires alot of energy off the ball but its better that way as long as we get possesion back quickly

Yip. We don't score enough from crosses to have two wingers

I was impressed by Hoopers work rate last night right up to the 90th minute he was chasing down the dons defenders when they had the ball

Am happy to see forwards chasing the defenders on the ball but in the mid to back i prefer them to stand up most the time

Yeah the work rate has impressed me especially off the ball; closing men down and hounding teams in there own half like the first goal last night. This is best way to play but requires full 10 outfield players to do their bit.

On the ball it has improved also; the man in possession tends to have more options than before. This maybe because of the extra midfielder rather than a winger playing, and as at the pen and couple other times last night brown showed as an attacking player he can still beat a man.

Great energy and hunger about the bhoys just now, as has been mentioned this team earns the right to play with their pressing style.

We also dont have a Big man to aim for while crossing so we needed to change the system to suit the situation. Aslong as Brown keeps playing well on the right we will be grand with one true winger on the left. Although i would have Forrest in their when fit instead of Brown.

Lennons current tactics have been awhile coming and why I aint sure, but he is starting to play a regular starting team as best as he can under injuries.
This I have said should have started at the beginning, however there is still plenty of important games to play for.

Lenny has clearly learned a lot since he took over and I think he can only improve as a manager.
