Fraser Forster - All Chat In Here

Decent,young, keeper. Great record this season along with a couple of blunders . Every goalie i`ve ever seen at Parkhead has made blunders (including the last permament occupier of the jersey) and i see him as a prospect.

 

Whichever defender(Mulgrew ?) did`nt cover Naismith`s run along with the loss of the ball far to easily, was as culpable as the keeper. As an aside,while I have no complaint about the penalty decision, does anyone else think Naismith was on the way down before the keeper made contact.

 

The midfield didn't follow his run, I wouldn't blame either CB 100% Maj covered Edu who was free.

Mulgrew did get sucked in a little but it was anyone but Forster's fault.

 

it wasn't all his fault. Commons gave the ball away in a bad position. Then Jelavic showed some classy touches and cut us open. Then Naismith won the penalty, if anything naismith clattered Forster.

 

the only thing i dont like about him is his kicking is rubbish.but how can we really complain? he has made huge saves this season for so far and i guessing there will be more.

I like him,just his kick outs can be a bit shady,as he has proved in two OF's now.

 

hes dodgy with his kicking but a great shotstopper,got to work on kicking tho

He's safe apart from his kicking is ridiculous.
Think celtic could probably do beter though.

 

Commons gave the ball away 1 part leading to the goal Kayal misses his tackle 2nd part ,3rd part defence just stand and watch , 4th keeper brings him down,

Its the teams fault not the keeper there all to blame.

 

Exactly this, I would go as far to say most of it was commons fault he lost it then he didnt track the runner naismith who ran right past him when commons stopped to try and tackle Jelavic along with 3 other players, i was quite worried yesterday we were picking up naismiths runs into the box

I his red only for 1 game and in the cup?
Or in the league as well?
we need him in the league!

 

Only faults i have with him are his kicks, and they are quite poor, and he nearly cost us a goal yesterday by not clearing it out quick enough.

Personally i would still rather have someone better than a 3rd choice goalie in the english premier, but hes been doing ok so far but i do believe we could do better

 

LOL @ the name of the thread. Crazy. The guys made a few mistakes, every player/goal keeper/ manager does. This makes him our weak link? Hes a good goaly, im happy with him being in goals.

I felt more confident and relaxed when Zaluska came on tbh.

Forster has done really well so far imo, must say but his kicking is terrible, that part of his game needs to improve.

 

Agree mate im not Zaluskas biggest fan either but he done well. Not got great confidence in Foster not good enough Sluggish at times and quite frustrating!

I dont think theres any one out there just now that would come in and play aswell as Boruc in his prime for us for the money we could afford, i dont think Foster will be back next year,

 

Did Zaluska have a save to make? I can't remember a tough one. I was surprised at one point late in the game 10 shots at goal each. Can anyone confirm this?

 

If you want some really really really world class goalkeeper, you should buy Vincent Enyeama from Hapoel Tel Aviv.
But this might be a very difficult task to carry out, because your'e gonna have to spend a fortune in order to bring him to Celtic Park.

jus seekin your thoughts on fraser forster. Im of the opinion that as we are jus over half-way through the season, i dont feel he has been tested enough in the majority of games, however, old firm games define a player, and he has messed up in 2 of 3 so far. He will more than likely play 3 more as he is suspended for the cup replay. This will then tell us for sure wat kind of gk he is..I feel that as he would prob cost a few million, Kieran westwood is available on a free from coventry at end of season, and considered 1 of the best gks outside the premier league. Feel this is too good an opportunity to miss out on.
