i think we should start with hooper and stokes, keep it tight first half then introduce sammy. if this happens the huns arses will fall off when they remember what he done last time.

McCourt had the free role he wasn't playing centre mid, I don't even know if Sammy is fit but 1 good game this season shouldn't make him first choice for a game at mordor

I watched the game again. McCourt while roaming about sometimes - was primarly in the most advanced central midfield role. Suffocating the space and stopping them starting any attacks or breaks. Which were pretty non-existent.

Id give this role too Brown.

With Kayal and Ledley sitting behind.

As much as the opinion so far seems too be Hooper/Stokes for the OF game - id be very suprised if Lenny went with both them.

I can't see Lennon changing Hooper and Stokes because they're in such a rich vein of form.

Has Samaras even played since he was injured a few weeks ago? That would be far too risky playing him.

The only way he can play Hooper and Stokes upfront against the huns is if he isn't playing with two wingers, e.g:

    Forster
    Wilson Rogne Mulgrew Izzy
    Brown Ki-Sung Kayal Ledley
    Hooper Stokes

That is the only way we can play with two strikers against them, or even change Ledley for Commons. There is no way we could go and play them with say forrest and commons on the wings, we'd get muscled out and get hammered.

If we're playing with one up front it has to be Hooper or Samaras, IF it's hooper thats chosen to play up himelf he has to have someone fast behing him in the hole position but if it's sammy upfront then that isn't as big a worry.

IMO I'd go for Hooper upfront himself with Commons just behind him e.g:

    Forster
    Wilson Rogne Mulgrew Izzy
    Brown Ki-Sung Kayal Ledley
    Commons

    Hooper

These are the decisions that make or break managers ,imo we cant make it easy for the huns in the middle of the park so go with brown ki kayal ledley with commons playing off the one man suited to do the job required sammy !!

Stokes and Hooper and then bring Sammy on for one of them with maybe 20 minutes to go, we will be at least a couple up by then and Sammys pace can stretch them even more as they try to get back into it. :50:

We can win with either formation up front.

But the key is not to play Brown in the centre.

When we put him there he totally gets in the way of our skilful midfielders. He has neither the brains nor the skill to hack it. Stick him out wide right where he can't * things up so much.

    I'd be tempted by

    Brown---Kayal---Ki---Ledley

    -------Commons
    Samaras

Brown - Kayal - Ledley - Commons wont get overrun. Samaras hasn't played 90 mins since the last OF game; there's no way he should start. IMO we should also start Wilson over Cha.

I definately want to see Hooper and Stokes upfront for us next week. Midfield is key and i'd pretty much go with what Lenny's stuck with over the last two games. One winger. In next weeks case, i'd hope it to be Commons. So...Brown..Ledley..Kayal..Commons..:shamrock:

Well you cant exactly drop stokes for no reason as he has been flying the goals in so as much as i like Ki he has to EARN HIS SPOT AGAIN! or someone will have to slip up before he gets back in because if you just put him straight in then he will think that he will always get picked and wont work as hard:50:

Samaras won't be fit but he would have been the correct choice of course. We should not go 2 up front against that shower again.

If Sammy's fit, then it has to be him. Proved just a few weeks ago that he can destroy their defence. They'd try to kick him of this time, but just left him know that his pace will destory any tackle they throw in his way, and he'll destroy them again.
