Strange situation, I think we're all pretty much in the dark as to why he isn't getting played here.

Still, from his point of view he needs games, so the move will maybe be a relief to him. From our point of view I'd rather see him in the team on rotation, but if it's a choice between him warming the bench and us getting 6 million for him then I'd take the latter.

If he's hardly going to be used for the rest of the season then this makes sense, playing time will do him the world of good, especially in one of the best leagues in the world. Hopefully when he comes back he'll prove to be a key figure in the team.
    I definately wouldn't sell him for £6mil.

    Good news
I would of preferred if he'd gone to an English team to get used to the British way of playing
Let's hope that there's still a future for him at Celtic

Started off well, but when he came on against the huns he was *. To get him off the wage bill and maybe get 6 mill at the end of the season is a good deal for us.

Good news ... not because i'm really wanting shot of him - just the opposite. The boy is 22 or so ??? ... let him get some games in Europe and see where we are at come the end of the season. Similar to Boselli at Wigan in that a spell in Italy might be a better stepping stone to British football coming from South America.

Ideally Crosas should get the same chance ... because he NEEDS games. He didnt play for Barca or Lyon really - the guy needs to be in a first team.

in Juarez (and Crosas') case i hope that its not the end of their Celtic career.

as long as he comes back next season and actually gets some playing time, I can't believe we would let one of our most talented players just leave, on a Side note I will be in Brescia in 2 weeks maybe I can get his autograph :icon_mrgreen:

This sounds like *, 6 million? Surely, if anything, that's a mistranslation of '6 figure sum'?

Don't want to see Juarez go, but the midfield we now have is massive. Someone defintely has to be offloaded.

I'm with you here mate, I back Lenny to the hilt, but as a season ticket holder, I too want to know why this wee guy never got played much in this first half of this season, and if we are all totally honest, those of us who saw him, were dead excited with what we saw in the wee man. Me, myself, I felt dead chuffed knowing we had him in our team. So therefore, I feel we have a right to know the score on this issue. My opinion ? I want to keep our best players, dump the deadwood instead.

Are you suggesting I don't know how to translate spanish to english? :icon_mrgreen:

Yup, many media has been saying that this is not true. Still, I was talking with his representative (in Europe) before all this and he told me he was in a trip to Italy. I asked myself "italy? what for?", after all this news happened I tried to reach him, with no success.

We'll still have to wait, I'll keep you informed.

Sorry that is not what it says:

    --------------------

    Juárez is surprised by rumor

After Juarez's move to Brescia was starting to spread, the player himself, who plays for Celtic Glasgow, said he was surprised of this version, but neither confirm it nor denied it.

John Sucliffe, ESPN Radio Formula commentator, talked with the midfielder who claimed to be surprised of the rumors who put him hours away of a move to Italy.

The player mentioned that after his training he went to sleep and in the morning the phone started to ring to question him about this, even his father called to verify the rumors.

He said thathe was happy at Celtic, even though he hasn't gained a place in the starting eleven, but didn't denied that he has recieved several offerings from England and Italy.

"He is surprised and confused about his move being a matter of hours", said the journalist over the phone.

The mexican has disputed 461 minutes in 10 games with Celtic and he hasn't achieved a place in the starting line-up.

    -----------------------

So we are in the same place. His representatives have been giving evasives, that is Velarde said: "I didn't talked with ESPN" but he didn't said "Juárez is not moving"... in this case until they deny the move, the coin is still in the air.

CELTIC misfit Efrain Juarez is on his way out in a shock loan move to Italian side Brescia.
SunSport can reveal the £3million Mexico midfielder will be shipped out to Serie A until the end of this season.
Juarez, 22, was only signed by Hoops boss Neil Lennon from UNAM Pumas last summer. But he failed to establish himself and Lennon has sanctioned his exit.
The deal was close to being completed last night after hours of drama which almost saw talks collapse, with officials unsure whether Juarez would qualify for a work permit.
But Brescia have been told it will be rubber-stamped as the midfielder has played in ten out of the last 13 international games.
He is serving a six-month national team ban imposed last September when he was accused of breaking a curfew following a game with Colombia.
