    Anybody watching this game?

A right good match with Napoli playing some lovely, expansive football.

Discussing it in both the midweek and Sampdoria thread!

Napoli are always worth a watch, Inter is just too good for them though. I'm convinced Javier Zanetti is immortal.

No, I'm not Javier Zanetti. :icon_mrgreen:

But he's still an awesome player. Nothing can bring him down.

hahaha!!! That one got a giggle mate!

He doesn't seem to have got any worse with age, * * shame Maradonna never brought him to the world cup.

Still can't believe he didn't take Zanetti and Cambiasso to South Africa, especially after their monster season.

Zanetti is so fit, he can play till he's 45.

I can understand Cambiasso not going although I would never have done it if I got to chose the sqaud. Cambiasso was absolutely awful for them since the 2006 World Cup.

Although Maradonna apparently thought he wasn't Argentinian enough.

Not taking Zanetti was insane though; they were struggling for fullbacks and a bit of steel in midfield. Zanetti is one of the best in the world at both of these!

For Zanetti to miss out on 2 World Cups in his career is a * shame, legend of the game.

Cambiasso could have made the bench at least imo. apart from offensive players, the argentinians didn't have much to offer as far as I remember. their defence was dodgy against every side - it was only a matter of time till somebody destroyed them.

Zanetti's unlucky he's from Argentina. if he played for Italy, he would still make their squad with ease - in fact probably any squad apart his own.

He has been re-instated to his rightful place and the way he's going I could see him pulling a Davie Weir.

Cambiasso should have been the first name on the pitch next to Mascherano as far as I'm concerned; the Argies had so much going forward with them two in midfield; Zanetti and another player who should have been in the sqaud in Zabaleta I think they had a better team than Spain.

Missed oppurtunity for Argentina; their defence at the next World Cup is going to be worse. There is literally no good full backs coming through.

Zanetti just nearly scored a belter.

the potential of the arg squad hasn't been nearly as good as last year imo. before the tournament I said to myself it's now or never. perhaps I'm wrong and we will discover some good and solid (defensive) players with an argentinian passport within the next 3 years.

Very doubtful but I hope so, always good to see a strong Argentina at the World Cup. Imagine they won it in Brazil?

I always had a soft spot for Argentina too. Winning in Brazil = nonstop party for 4 years. :icon_mrgreen:
