    Meanwhile, the Parkhead club are still involved in negotiations to sign Erik Huseklepp from Brann Bergen.
    The Norwegian striker, 26, is desperate to move to Parkhead and hopes a fee of around £1million will be thrashed out. However, the Hoops will move on to other striking targets if the deal isn't finalised by the middle of this week.
    This is in the Sunday mail today at the bottom of the Wilson story

    I'm not usually 1 to be like that but we need another defender quickly for the run of games we have coming up and I don't want Lenny to be chasing around after 1 striker who doesn't really seem to prolific in front of goal (correct me if I'm wrong)

    Im guessing you all are a bit curious about Huseklepp. I`ll make a short list.

    + Good flair
    + Good first touch and technique
    + Good crosses
    + Very good pace (Norwegian scale)
    + Good dribbling skills.
    + Good team player

    Average free kicks
    Average finishing

    Not the guy you ask to take the penalty.

    Poor on the head much to the fact he is not strong.
    Due to him being tall, his balance can fail.

    This is a player who was 5 years ago when we signed him inconsistent and had "extreme" skills in dribbling, flair and pace. He used many years and was a late bloomer, when he bloomed he became good, due to the fast that he became better all around, and not least the fact that he put on some pounds of muscle.

    I think if he was going to sign he would have done by now. Shame, especially for the player, because he had his heart set on joining us.

    A forward who is tall but a bit weak, has pace and good tricky feet but is poor in the air for his size and not a great finisher...we already have a Greek guy who sounds like that.
