No matter where you stand on the flag issue, you have to feel some sort of pride of the humanitarian fundraising thats actually coming out of this

In fairness, questions 2 and 4 are well worth asking, even if it'd be foolish of GB to answer. 1 and 3 though... jesus! Lightning rod questions worthy of the SMSM if ever I read some...

There are times where the Celtic support just blows my mind. I'm so proud to be associated with such incredible people.

I'm not able to share in the credit for what is such an incredible statement of peace and consideration. I was one of those who was unsure on the idea of flying Palestine flags at the home game. Given the recent run-ins with Uefa I was worried our incredible support would begin to have it's reputation tarnished by these seemingly constant disciplinaries.

But then the protest was made, and it was peaceful and respectful. It wasn't inflammatory or intimidatory. It was an act of solidarity with a people who, irrespective of the backwards and forward, * for tat of war, every day face a struggle just to keep what little they call home. I didn't fully appreciate the situation there. I'm not a politically active or motivated person, but the images, messages and stories that came out after Wednesday's game shone a light that this isn't politics, its people, something the machines of modern political practice so often manage to forget.

Seeing how much those people appreciated the small token of support, it can't help but make you flush with pride.

And then the inevitable talk of fines and bans occurs. Fair enough. In many ways, UEFA is simple applying the rules they have laid out. But rather than bristle at this, rather than moan or spit vitriol, our supporters come up with the match the fine campaign. A campaign aimed at raising money for places in dire need of support. Simultaneously providing significant sums of money, but also positive attention and focus to a place seemingly starved of it.

To my fellow fans who supported this campaign from the off I say I was wrong, I should never have doubted the intent and moral backbone of a such an incredible group, whose actions over the last week or so ensure we, as a club ascend any besmirching UEFA or the media may dish out, and instead stand as a calm, but strong voice of protest and peace.

You guys set the benchmark for people like me to aspire to.

That is hard to believe considering their political stance.

I dunno, after seeing the positive impact its had, it would be hard to go against the supporters one this one.

I suppose saying nothing on the matter is best for them.

I haven't been following this. Is the money being raised to pay any fine Celtic might get from UEFA or is it for Palestinian Aid?

Nothing being said publicly but plenty was said in private, with regards to the flags and UEFA.
