I can't tell if you're making that up or not? :smiley-laughing002: I thought of the original 5 arrested none were Green Brigade members?

Yeah sorry man just * aboot. Nae idea - just replied earlier on about the dawn raids etc to say it seems to be an acceptable way of handling the arrests for all fans, nae just these eejits on this occasion.

RE GB members, would be stunned if any to be honest.

:smiley-laughing002: I knew it ya *. If no Green Brigade members have been arrested or even if they make up a small percentage of those arrested I struggle to see the justification for using this incident as a beating stick on the GB in the media and for the banning or suspension of 128 people. If it's purely for the banners then the club should make that clear, not hide behind some false media campaign to rid our club of them.

    Sorry amigos.

RE GB - the worst thing (for them) they could have done was release that statement. It gave the board a big * stick to batter them with, and by * they took it.

I don't know anything about those cases you mentioned, however with Bristol and Millwall involved I'm going to go out on a limb and say it wasn't for breaking seats and singing songs they were dawn raided?

    Edit.

Hibs as well who have a sizable hooligan element.

Well I know for a fact the Bristol one was for slightly more than breaking a few seats :smiley-laughing002: But then if the fighting continued outside Fir Park and that's what people are being picked up for, then it may not be totally different.

Probably right SD - idaken either man. But the general approach to fitba fans in terms of arrest seems to be to treat them like they have a mobile, a dodgy rucksack, and a detailed plans of the clockwork orange sadly.

They'd probably be more concerned about their human rights if they were planning terrorist attacks :smiley-laughing002:

"Renegade Hoops supporters, sitting next to a Green Brigade banner, ripped up 200 seats in the South Stand."

Was it actually 200 seats or is this just a blatant lie.

It looked about 50 max, but then maybe some others around were less obviously damaged.

Out of all the seats damaged i wonder how many were broken before this match? CP and other grounds i've been to have had damaged seats for years yet they are never replaced or sorted.

They aren't. I'm not sure where this idea has come from to be honest.

There's only been the one Motherwell fan arrested, and it was a 16 year old. We'll have to wait & see what he's being charged with.

He'll more than likely be a part of that nasty group of Motherwell lads who have the cheek to bring an atmosphere to Fir Park most weekends.

'Good news is that the majority of 128 are now unbanned.

Celtic ops will write out to clarify everyone's situation.'

    From the GB forum.

Ironically the SNP condemned the use of 'Dawn Raids' on terror suspects.

    Football supporters however....
