The word "their" at the end was actually spelled "there" in the original post (which is the correct spelling)

    Weird.

I wish I hadn't watched that creepy fecking video that Raoul posted now... :fear:

I for one don't understand why the GB didn't move or was not moved to a area that could hold more of them and their groupies.
Then the over crowding problem would have been dealt with.:39:

I was going to say something about "groupies" but then read the rest of your post and assumed you were taking the *.

I think local supporters groups make sense as why wouldn't fans travel to the games together if they support the same team and are travelling from the same place.

I think the question is 'why should grown up football fans feel the need to make little gangs with scary skull logos and mottos and mission statements, and play pretend rebel?'

    And I have no idea

the Green Brigade has brought the atmosphere to a new level. I don't agree with the ban imposed:87:, but, perhaps its time for all supporters to get involved with the singing/banners etc. For too long the stadium has relied on the Bhoys starting and keeping the momentum going during games. EVERY ONE SHOULD STAND UP AND BE COUNTED:57:. no one dislikes the atmosphere created by the section.

Oh how I miss the Jungle(health n safety) we looked after each other. COYBIG

How would people enjoy their prawn sandwiches if this was the case?

it does annoy me that the prawn sandwich mob dont get involved, but, with a little persuasion/intimidation...they might! wake up and join in. perhaps some of them feel inferior, and some are too above themselves(they can * off), but they can be trained into our way of thinking. it might not be the solution, but what choices do we have apart from EVERYONE in the stadium STANDS during the match in support for section 111:31:

    * that. If thrse people want to sit quietly and enjoy the game, they have every right. I must admit I don't get it myself; but they aren't doing anything wrong. Eventually I'd like to see both tiers the JS and LL turned into safe standing: that way everybody who wants to stand and sing can do so; and everybody who wants to sit quietly can do that without people blocking their vision.

fair comment, I have got blinkers on. perhaps not everyone joining in. but my son and I sat amongst the bankers and well to do attendees, and I felt out of place and wanted to join in the camaraderie but I felt out of place. I respect and agree with your comment though. safe standing is the way forward and it must be in Celtic parks thoughts. its been proven in Germany and it would add more people and revenue. depending on costs to supporters. probably wont happen soon with the commonwealth games being launched at Parkhead. but here's hoping .

I'll admit it, when the news of this came out, I came to the defence of the board and tried to find reasoning behind their actions. I suppose there is some. The threat of sanctions from the authorities and Celtic potentially suffering worse as a result. In a way, shutting down 111 was a good option in the long-term.

But thinking about it, Celtic is the supporters. By forcing a major supporters group to split up, they are jeopardising Celtic. Because Celtic are the fans. Celtic fans are recognised as some of the loudest, proudest and best in the world, and the GB are a massive part of that. Now thinking about it, Lawwell and the board were completely wrong in their actions, and hopefully they'll realise that and rectify it. It has to stop before we go further down this road and we're sitting there in our seats, lifeless, as singing 'might offend some' and standing is a health and safety issue, while we chew on our prawn sandwiches.

Has anyone put this idea to the board that fans want safe standing....not on * twitter or face book but through proper channels.

There was a video doing the rounds a couple of years back where there was a safe standing demonstration inside Celtic Park, haven't been able to find it.
