Wouldn't it throw some spanner in the works to the club and police agenda if 10,000 of us were to join the Green Brigade

Really don't know how this will ever be sorted out with the Green Brigade remaining intact. All i know is:
    1. The Dundee game next sunday will be televised, and this presents us the best platform for the support to genuinely do something different.

And 2. I believe the time for the group having protests to highlight their cause is over. They tried it multiple times and things have only became worse, the boycotts have not worked. This is the time for the rest of the support to organise something.

I have no idea what to do though. But something really, really radical has to happen - and that something has to be safe and legal. Early days in my thoughts here, and this would be so difficult to actually materialise, but imagine the teams come out for the second half, then on the 50 min mark everybody were to leave. Full stadium to just get up and walk out as if the final whistle had just been blown. And for over half an hour the backdrop to the televised game is an empty stadium. Let them know, if the harassment continues to the extent the group are no longer there next year this is what the team will be playing in front off. This would probably never happen and there's always people in that situation who would be determined to stay, but it would only take a significant amount to leave and it would raise questions like no other protest done so far.

I believe the agenda is far more simplistic than a few "dodgy banners".Celtic along with Strathclydes "finest" are scared of Ultra groups confusing them in their ignorance with hooligan groups.Politics are a part of everthing in life and football is no exception We must dissasociate with this typically British fear of free thinking and back the green brigrade as the vibrant, colourful and atmosphere enhancing group that they are. I am not a member of the GB but I do support them for the all the aforementioned reasons.

No they're not. Not the ones giving the orders anyway. They treat them like they're Hooligans, but don't let their actions fool you into believing it's just through ignorance. They know full well they are not a Hooligan group.

That would defeat the purpose though.

Lawwell would be laughing like * in his heated leather seat in the main stand knowing that they had all paid for their ticket anyway.

It's not just the GB being targeted.

Our away support are also victim of regular harassment, perhaps not on the same scale though. Yet.

Once the Green Brigade have been seen off, the rest of the match going support will be next.

The club privately must be * it at the thought of the GB disbanding. Think of the money they have made out of the group.

The JCGE merch, the 125th Anniversary prints (I know we all had a hand in that monetary wise and execution but it still wouldn't have happened without the group.)

They also do a lot of charity work away from the stadium, organising football tournaments with refugees and minorities to help communities and sometimes that gets overlooked.

However I think the club is well aware that they bring a * of a lot more good than the perceived bad some people think they bring and ought to be looking to tread carefully on this issue.

Too right it does. Not one person has ever mentioned this when discussing them with me, and by discussing I mean when they're slating them for some reason or another.

Aye and everybody will be anti a boycott because 'that's what the huns do'. I honestly will have to.think very carefully before putting anymore hard earned money in to the club.

Provided this is all factual obviously.

    I agree.

'Glasgow's Green and White' has been plastered all over Celtic Park and the superstore for a large part of the season, which I think is a chant which the Green Brigade have made popular (?). It would seem they are Celtic's marketing department!

This has nothing to do with religion, i'd argue that Celtic are more than happy cooperate with the police. It's clear as day that Celtic want rid of the Green Brigade. I'd say it's because they bring too much heat to the club in the eyes of Lawwell (poppy banner, * uefa banner) etc etc.. and of course they have the potential to be a highly influential group within the Celtic fan base. A real shame that it's come to this tbh.

We are all in this together, the G.B are targeted because they are a group in the one area but it could be any of us, so what are we going to do about the constant harrassment? vent our frustration on here( a good thing actually) or get together and try to change things?

I'd say they are highly influential, rather than have the potential to be. :50:

    Especially to younger fans.

pitch invasion mid match? haha only joking :50:

but something definitely has to be done by the rest of the support to "Stand up for the Green Brigade" and preferably for the Dundee game, simply because of the tv coverage!

Yes, but the message is to Lawwell is that those prepared to walk out on the day, are prepared to walk out altogether if the problem continues. (Plus, he should be scared enough as it is with the current trend of things, as if the renewals hit the doormat this year with another pathetic 'prize-freeze' gimmick the Season tickets will drop by a solid few thousand, of that i have no doubt.)

No fan should feel detached from from what the Green Brigade are suffering at the moment. We must remember that the minute they are gone, it just goes back to ordinary fans scattered around the ground getting arrests for even more petty things like just standing, and we become easier to target than ever when the GB are gone. An attack on the GB is an attack on the whole football attending population, almost everyone could be at risk in some way.

There are no more freedom of expression/speech/political view anymore in Britain, total control/police state that's what facing us nowadays. Something radical has to be done if we want Green Brigade to live on!

Exactly mate that's what i'm trying to get at. If your someone like Lawwell you don't like the thought of a group of organised politicised fans who are often at loggerheads with the club having so much influence especially on the younger fans.

The police's problem was they couldnt arrest Celtic fans for sectarian singing like they could arrest Rangers fans for sectarian singing, so they made up the offensive singing that they could include our songs. It was set up only to arrest Celtic fans.
