To the day I think!? May the 6th? My birthday! It's a sign. Does it not say on the bible that 'Wallace will be resurrected as a windae cleaner and on his 30th will see Scotland break the shackles of oppression'? Must be in there somewhere.

    ENOUGH OF THE JOKES!!

I really think the SNP have this in the bag. I know people don't play politics right and success is never gOOd enough to keep you in power but they have delivered 80 of their 90 pre election promises. Not bad for a party that:

    Is a minority government
    In a recession
No big brother backing in London

Better than Scottish Labour who * up with:

    Majority government
    Time of prosperity
Big Bro UK Labour in power in London

Now SNP majority doesn't mean independence but it's a step closer but that's for another day.

I think Labour has buggered up and the party politics that has seen them through being the Working Mans party to the Torries in Red is wearing off. Iain Gray, imagine him as your FM?? *!

Torries, I don't need to explain
Lib Dems have probably lost most their Scottish support with their coalition.

I just can't see past an SNP win. I think they have done a great job only for the Tory cuts to just about * it up. I believe Scotland was in the black during the recession any way so we're being cut to once again subsidise England.

    Votail SNP :50:

Yep not bad for a bunch of amatuers who have succeeded in making labour look like amatuers. Well it is always best to have Scots governing in the best interests of Scots and not like labour having their gaffers in London telling them what to do.

Sadly too many people have fell for the nonsense that voting labour will help us. Look around ye ffs! We have had unionist parties for ever and we live in a place that has very little infrastructure compared to Europe.

Sadly it seems that labour only need to say vote for us against the tories and so many people fall for it. What about ideas? ambition? progress?

Scotland is a rich country but these fools are always pushing the lie that we need England.......................no! England needs us.

All polls so far point to a Labour win at Holyrood and thats what I fully expect to happen. The most interesting aspect of this election will be seeing if we have another minority government or will we see some kind of coalition. I mean if Labour win most seats I can hardly see them forming a coalition with the Lib Dems whilst they're in Government with the Tories at Westminster. We could even see some kind of Co-operation with Labour and the SNP against the Con-Dem cuts.

I will be voting SNP, in my opinion the only party that puts Scotland first and stands up to Westminster. Think Labour might just pinch this one though, * help us all! We will fall to even more cuts south of the border. They are also planning on raising council tax which the SNP have said they will freeze for the next two years at least.

Thanks to the SNP also, as of April - Scotland will have NO prescription charges, ourselves and Wales are gaining from these benifits of having an independent government. They were also the party who introduced no tolls on the bridges, this might not affect everyone but it's a huge benifit to people who were travelling across the bridges everyday.

I'll try to respond to the points in your post:

    - 'They failed to deliver on every major manifesto pledge', well actually they've delivered most of their manifesto pledges, which is fairly remarkable for a minority government
    - We have more police than we had under Labour, and have bettered the target set by the SNP on increasing policing levels. In fact the federation of police officers have come out in support of the SNPs policys on policing.
    - On tax raising powers, the Labour/Lib Dem government had failed to pay the ridiculous fee to maintain a database before when it was a legitimate power. Knowing the Calman powers were coming in there was no reason to pay a fee when the powers wouldn't be used.

voting for ssp is a wasted vote.

we have to keep the queen head of state if we get independance.
for the forseable future anyway then as an independant nation
we can have a referendum on the monarchy like australia did.

the snp have to play it that way as cutting ties with westminster
and the monarchy at the same time would be too much of a leap of faith
    for some voters.

don't let it put you off voting SNP.

So many lies....................so little time :86:

1)If you do work in education dan.............which I doubt then you would be ecstatic with the new education plans implemented by the SNP, every other teacher is totally loving the new curriculum for excellence. It begins in nursery6 and follows through primary and secondary. I have heard nothing, nothing but positivity towards this new regime.

    2) There is 1072 extra polis on the beat since the last labour executive. Resulting in the lowest crime rate for 32 years.........................thanks to the SNP Dan!

    3) The Meghrahi release is a high point for the SNP. Not only have they stuck to the letter and spirit of Scots law but Scotland has let the world know that we will not be bullied by anyone. What kind of Scot accuses us of being a laughing stock for making our own decisions?................shame on you Dan! Are you even Scottish?

    4) Nicola Sturgeon has been a singular success. Originally I did not think much of her but she has grew exponentially. Her crowning moment for me was dealing with a labour idiot...............a doctor no less rambling against the SNP alcohol measures claiming that caffiene was the problem instead of alchohol levels. Nichola reading the senior coppers evidence stated his evidence;

"I do not recall us being called out to too many fights outside coffee shops."

Why do so many Scots doing Britains work resort to slagging us so. We are not ashamed of who we are. Likening everything we do to the bay city rollers does not make me cringe..................it just allows me to realise how small minded the likes of you are, and in effect who the enemy is.

Look we are not fools. Running us down for daring to want what is best for Scotland is so old. Learn to be part of our nation or * off!

all i'm saying is we have to take it one step at a time to achieve our goal.
    that's being practical.

Remember that the SSP might not even be on your constituency ballot.

I think what he meant mate was voting independence wouldn't mean we'd be a republic, that is another vote.

I do not believe for one second Salmond wants to keep the monarchy. He's smart, he's not going to go out all guns blazing. Get independence then once we're settled we can get Lizzy tae *.

Remember there will be nationalist royalists and unionist republicans.
