    :84: Indeed!

At least that used to have a basis in fact.............pity the Poles, Lithuanians, Estonians, Latvians, Hungarians, Czechoslovacks, Romanians, and Bulgarians weren't as lucky as you/us.

I simply do not understand why a country that can be a force for good allows the rich to control them so. I suppose the poor in the middle ages had to go and fight for their lords due to vassalage......................but now it seems that guillibility is the main factor :86:

Talk about stating the obvious Hilary...BBC News - Wikileaks: Saudis 'chief funders of Sunni militants'

Jeez you'd think these US Democrats know nothing about how their neo-con buddies controlled the world.

See the deal is this. Rich Saudi and gulf Arabs fund Sunni terrorist groups like Al Q amongst others to attack US and western targets and troops. In return our lords and masters get us afraid very afraid............we then support 'our heroes' to go and fight and die fighting said Islamic terrorists. Our lords and masters, their pals and business associates make fortunes supplying arms ammo, food, equipment etc. etc. etc. who also buy oil from said rich Saudi's and gulf Arabs. Thus enriching them to play their part in this modern version of the 'great game'

Roll up, roll up to join in the great Muslim terror gold rush.............roll up!

I believe that the guillible who actually bought the 'war on terror' fantasy and worse those who support their loved ones in potentially dying in the charade are referred to as 'useful fools' in some quarters. I was that useful fool...............fool me once shame on you, fool me twice etc.:bbpd:

That is the biggest biased post.

How do you get that Europe is a 'worse' problem than the US?

    >>arent the sunni muslims the moderate ones?i thought it was the shia that were more militant?<<

    Depends really Sean.

Al Q are Sunni, as are Hamas.................but Hamas are supported by the Shia Hezbollah who have successfully thwarted the Israeli's in Lebanon twice now. Hez are supported by many Sunni's and even Christians in Leb and they get support and arms from Shia Iran who in turn are detested by the Sunni Taliban who view them as heretics. In Iraq despite Saddam favouring his own Sunni tribe base there was no real community fallouts between Sunni/Shia until the west moved in employing the much used 'divide and rule' tactics. Now there is an undeclared civil war.

Al Q and Bin Laden offered to oust Soviets from Afghanistan in the 80's but the Saudi's (of which Al Q and Bin L are of course) decided to pay the Yanks to supply the Muhajideen (before Taliban) with enough weaponry to make the Soviet occupation untenable. This * of this deeply religious/militant group, but the real game changer was the first gulf war.

Saddam invaded Kuwait because the thieving * were stealing his oil (true) The Saudi's shat it big time when faced with a million strong army that they had in part financed to fight Iran previously. They commited the crime of inviting US troops to come and defend them...............on sacred soil where the prophet himself Muhammed established Islam. The idea of having these unbelievers so close to the holy places of Islam has never been forgiven and as a result we had the beginnings of jihad against the US.

    Clear as mud eh! :icon_mrgreen:

And Yes I do know most of the facts becuse to be honest most of the questions have been answered but people refuse to beleive them. There is no evidence of any conspiracy and you tell me any points that LC has raised that hasnt been debunked.

Are you blind to the fact that Europe has a huge problem with race crimes and hate crimes, everyday there is sectarian or racist chanting at football grounds all across europe. Far Right groups have been sprouting up in every country and too top it all off I traveled around europe with several friends once, one of whom is Korean and almost every time we went out in central and eastern europe she and I heard at least 1 deragatory comment. The problem in Racism in Europe is well documented, your own politicians and and professors have stated that it is a huge problem.

Sorry mate you can feel all you want but fighting FOR the Afghan people is not why you are there. I've not made my mind whether you are kidding yirsel on or are working for the US government PR dept.

You have never met me nor have you ever been to afghanastan and talked to the afghan people so dont assume you know what I think, Yes I do feel like I am fighting them and despite what you read on the internet that is the main reason we are still there, to support the Afghan government and people.

Ok now I am getting closer to making my mind up. The above is verifiably untrue for pretty much all of the Pashtun areas which make up over half of Afghanistan, and they are the ones in conflict with western forces. Your average Afghani do not want foreigners of any hue and are taking their chance to fight them whenever the opportunity arises. This Taliban tag is just a lazy coverall used by the west...............truth is they are disparate localised groups who are not part of any Taliban.

Actually many of the Afghan national army soldiers are Pashtun, You are right many of the tribes there do not like us but that is because they adhere to a conservative version of Islam and side with the taliban. And you are wrong your average afghani would rather have us there than the taliban, when I was in kabul I would often be invited to sit down to tea with some of the people in the market and they would talk to me about the war, they are angry about how we are handling it and they feel like the war has gone on for a long time but they always stressed that they did not want the taliban back under any means. You are horribly misinformed on this and also I should mention that the taliban is made up of mostly pakistanis not afghans. No the Taliban is not a lazy coverall, yes there are many branches and groups but they all are under the same guise and they all have the same beliefs.

Actually Iraq was just the topping on the cake. And really the opinion of an Americanised Arab is no substitute for 'Arab/Muslim opinion' is it c'mon ma man! Bodyswerves like this lead me to believe that you know fine well what the stark truth is. The Arab/Muslim world have been let down badly by the US, they are pally with their dictators and absolute monarchs who deny civil rights and freedoms, they acquiesce in their killing and occupation by Israel.

MY friend was not an americnized arab, he moved in his late teens after living in lebenon all his life and he then spent the next 2 years living on Atlantic avenue in Brooklyn which is predominatly arab muslim. He is still a muslim and was only 19. His opinion is that of many muslims, they do not hate the US they are angry over what they think is a heavy handed policy and they are rightly angry over Iraq. But you would be wrong if you thought that every muslim in the middle east walked around shouting I hate America 24/7

From 1998, BBC News | South Asia | Trans-Afghan pipeline suspended

This is a good synopsis, Talking Points on the Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline « Moral Outrage
Read the comments as well, very illuminating as to just how closed some minds are. Oh and are you really saying that until you "see" the pipeline being built you will be all agnostic? See no evil eh :38:

Lol thats a joke right, All you have shown me is an Author grabbing in the dark for anything that fits your usual conspiracy theory. What you are trying to tell me is that is that the Unocal Company caused 9/11 and then made Bush invade Afghanstan. The pipeline is nothing more than a pipeline, so what it has no bearing on our policy in Afghanstan.

Sorry but the US evil devil dug is the main protaganist pushing the 'war on terror' bullshit................as long as we ignore their terror of course and paint all Palestinians and Lebanese resisting Israeli aggression as terrorists. The US is * scared by the wikileaks carry on which thus far has been small beer, so why are they so scared. I can only assume that something big.............or they believe something big is about to be leaked. I would not be surprised if US support for Israel was laid bare by
    it.

Isreal has no influence over US policy in Afghanstan, I agreed with you already that we ignore what they do out of convience and it is wrong but you are strecthing the truth by claiming that they made us go into Afghanstan. And why would the US be concerned if it came out that we support Isreal, everyone already knows that we do.

*sniffs*I Wonder where we have heard that about "wan side is as bad as the other" nonsense before? C'mon the Palestinian areas are made up of what can only be described as self-policed prison camps. Some Israeli-Arabs are allowed a degree of movement, those living in the occupied territories are heavily, heavily restricted. Extremism is perhaps the only part of life that Palestinians have free will to immerse themselves in.

Hamnas was born of that great British tactic so artfully employed by the Israelis 'divide and rule' as a closely controlled group who were supposed to undermine Arafats PLO and do as they were told. Great plans and aw that! Well we see how that turned out. I am 1 billion percent positive that most Israeli's and Palestinian people just want to live in peace...............however to allude that the reason for them not being able to is down to both sides is simply not true. One side holds all the levers of power, the other side only has the power to resist.

I am sorry but you really need to study the situation there, Palestinians have every right to resist the Isreali occupation and every attack on the IDF is legitimate, but Suicide bombing are not resistance and has more to do with Muslim extremism that Palestinian Nationalism. Hamas are murderes plain and simple and they take as much of the plame for the current situation as Shinbet or Mossad.

Also you should remember that Arafat had a deal that would have given him all of what most palestinians demand today, total Isreali withdrawal from the west bank and gaza, Demolition of Settlemnts and East jerusalem as a capital, and he didnt take it because he got greedy, in the end it is the PLO and Hamas who are * over there own people just as bad as the Isrealis are.

Talk *.They proposed building a Palestinian state in most of the Gaza strip but,
-This state would have no borders
    -no control over its airspace
-no control over its only natural resources
-no dismantling of illegal settlements or roads
It didnt give Palestinians access to their holy sites,or any solution to the problem of 3million Palestinians living in horrible conditions in refugee camps.Israel would have maintained all of its strategic interests, with the Palestinians basically being given whats left.
Arafat did not get greedy,he could not accept this, but your medias propaganda would most likely be the reason you beleive otherwise.

bigwill, you make the claim that racism in europe is worse than in america correct? and along those same lines you can comment (not saying you have but just for the purpose of my argument let it roll) that european white supremacist organizations are larger and worse than the KKK

let us address the hypocrisy of this (again not a go at you)

the KKK is a terrorist organization who have killed quite a few number of people, though not as much as the Nazis (obviously )

on the other hand, the taliban is a terrorist organization, who has killed MUCH less, than the american government and its military

you argue for the americans in both cases (not the KKK), how can this be when you say "its worse in europe" when you make arguments against people saying "the americans (in afghanistan) are worse than the taliban" when in both cases, it is the scale of the matter that is brought into question
