The reason for Iraq is oil.

The reason for Afghanistan is the Trans-Afghanistan-Gas-Pipeline.

All bought & paid for with innocent lives.

As a by-product we also got the anti-terror legislation such as the Patriot bill & the anti-terrorism act, totally infringing our basic human rights.

    Cool.

It was Saudis that flew those planes into the Twin Towers, and the Pentagon. And American heroes that caused the other plane to crash in Pensylvannia.

Conspiracy ? What conspiracy ? It was Terrorism.

So you are all saying that us being in Iraq and Afghanistan ahs not helped these countries? that we never helped to bring down one of the most evil men in the world? oh and if you are all complaining about us stealing oil and that we are in Iraq for oil, well at the end of the day its you guys which beinifit from the oil, making oil prices cheaper, you are probably the same people that complain about the price of fuel, funny that. :86:

I would rather not "beinifit from the oil" if it meant the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocents were spared, that is much more important to me.

If we dont steal it we need to buy it. However were not just in iraq for the oil, although i would say that is a part of us being in iraq but we are doing much more.

from an article I read recently:

I totally agree with the author of this article those who deny that Islamic terrorists hijacked planes and flew them in to the WTC are cut of the same cloth as those who deny the Holocaust ever happened.

The fact that Islamic terrorists attempted to bring down the towers in 1993 (or any number of other Islamic terrorist attacks on US targets prior to the "war on terror") is conveniently ignored when people argue that either the US did it themselves or at least brought it on themselves.

Didn't you all know? There's snow and Englands world cup bid at the moment. No such thing as an illegal war.

Aye like instigating a Sunni/shia civil war creating civil war like conditions for a generation which has already killed hundreds of thousands.

Look pal you obviously do not know much about the subject matter..............sorry but it shows!

Know this if you know nothing else. On occupying Baghdad US forces had orders to protect the oil ministry and secret police offices. Whilst looting began slowly once the natives realised that the yanks were not going to stop them they filled their boots. Iraq is the 'cradle of civilisation' loads of antiquitaries and precious pieces of human history were destroyed in that orgy of looting. Civilian administrators begged the US soldiers and temporary authorities to guard these museums. Not only this there was murders and rapes aplenty for days in civilian areas without US interference.

No the priorities were taken care of, that was oil and knowing your enemy from the files of Saddams secret police.

If anything 'good' was done in Iraq then it was by individuals or accidental.
