Defensively inept which means I could not care less about how good he is going forward. A defender should be able to defend first and foremost.

um, yes he did he started in the quarters and semis and was hailed as one of the reasons they made it that far, and as fro budesliga 2 he was on a team that got relegated I think and chose to stick with them. He is a great player and should be playing every week, putting him on the wing for a couple matches couldnt hurt.

    I agree.

The modern day RB has to sometimes risk his defensive duties, for the sake of going forward though and I think Cha possibly has to much freedom. If we're going to use his pace going forward, we're going to have to use it sparingly.

Personally, I would much rather see Juarez at right-back. He's a natural RB, although some people would have you believe he doesn't like playing there, he's a terrier defensively and he's comfortable on the ball.

How many opportunities has he had to get into positions to deliver assists? Chicken before the Egg. I find that dispresectul: "Regardless of what you think". I think the O.P. has a clear idea of what he is talking about being someone who has watched him more than practically everyone on this site. I think we need to utilise his pace yes, but how?

Though, I would rather have him put wide right than Stokes. Anyone else?

But the guy is saying he plays there for Korea, but is better in other positions.

Anyway, Wilson should be coming back?

no he actually only started the semi due to injuries and suspensions to other players. he wasnt hailed as one of the reasons they made it that far as he didnt play much. infact when he started they got beat and failed to score. as for his career in germany he coudnt get a game for bayer leverkusen so they loaned him out twice, where he got relegated with his 2nd team and they then signed him. a few years later he signed for mainz but had a nightmare season and then signed for koblenz who were in the lower division. after 2 seasons there he moved to freiberg who were promoted to the top flight and just managed to stay up. he then joined us ! again for free !!! hardly the great career that is being made out about him.

that though has nothing to do with anything! you can only make an opinion on what you see of him and it aint been good so far in my opinion. terrible defender and im still waiting to see this "great player going forward" i keep hearing about. has plenty pace but no idea how to use it and is a very average player which for me explains why he has spent much of his career in the german 2nd division or with teams fighting relegation in the top division there.

I can only go on what I have seen of him at Celtic and on that, I don't think he's good enough. With all due respect, i'm not interested in what he does with South Korea.

    Hope so and soon.

ok but maybe he should be given a chance wide right? It doesn't affect me, how Korea do, but I certainly want to see him playing, and playing well

Technically he's not the best. Control is average, crossing is suspect.

He is fast and strong and is similar to agathe who turned out to be a good player, so I say give him time and see how he gets on. I would also like to see Juarez given a shot at RB though.

Mate you obiously know little about him, he was tremendous in Germany, peopl forget that a Players needs to play week in and week out to be at his full potential not just once and a while, Cha should be starting every week for sure

think you know nothing about him ! how was he great in germany?? he played 2 of his last 3 years in the 2nd division!! is that were great players play when they are in their late 20s??? his season in the top flight was a relegation battle when he joined a team just promoted! obviously you nothing about him !! he played regular for the 1st maybe 10 games or so but got dropped for mark wilson !! thats how bad he is that mark wilson is getting a game infront of him!!

That basically sums up the credibility of your argument, Wilson has been excellent for us whenever he's played this season. You must be quite close-minded enough to think that the division below the 3rd best league in the world doesn't contain any players good enough for the SPL, at best probably the 15th or so best league in the world.

EDIT: Surely it's also no coincidence that Ki is producing some great form now he has a fellow countryman who can speak both languages, for a 20/21 year old kid moving from his home country for the first time an experienced fellow internationalist being in the squad could be the difference between the great form he has shown this season or ending up being another Koki Mizuno who failed to settle and adapt to the Scottish game.

wilson has had 1 good game for us this season at dundee utd ! thats it !! im not saying becuase he played in the 2nd division in germany he aint good enough. my argument is that people are saying he had a brilliant career in germany and was an amazing player there when that plainly isnt true. surely you dont want to keep him because he is helping ki do you?? ki was an obvious one who needed time to adapt to the scottish game. koki on the other hand was settled here. he enjoyed life in glasgow but was just deemed not good enough for us and i believe he has now joined a team in the 2nd division in japan now which seems to back that up.

    We miss Andy Hinkel.

Lennon basically thought he had found the Korean Agathe. Not worked out lets move on; he's decent back up.

we miss him terribly !! but this is a guy lennon dropped not long after taking the team and then didnt play him at the start of the season as he was desperate to get rid of him. good to see our manager can spot a good player !!

Only time will tell, i believe all this will be meaningless if he can score some of the wonder goals he scored in Germany
