Why hasn't Lennon got a 'lennon'?

When Lennon took over, i expected his priority to be purchasing a player who sits in front of the back four and breaks up opposition attacks. We don't have this and it's quite surprising considering what Lennon was like as a player. Does anyone else think this is one of the major factors behind how exposed and weak our defense can look at times?

 

Very good point. His managerial style is the complete opposite to what i expected. Very Mowbray like if i must say.

 

The set up of his midfield of late has been shocking.

 

I think its obvious that Lenny's Lennon is Broony.

 

I can't believe Lennon continues to operate with a 1 man disadvantage in the middle of the park

 

I thought that's what Kayal was going to be, but he's out so...

 

Neither can I, it's astounding given that that was one of our main failings last year. If he doesn't learn that that set up will not win us the league then we are in trouble.

 

Perhaps he saw Kayal as that man but he hasn't been available. I think the defence are weak in their own right but do recognise the midfield could protect them better on occasion.

 

Neither can I. There are discrepancies all through the defence, and the midfield is made up of chocolate soldiers.

 

We haven't seen Kayal much but in the Utrecht game he was all over the park - complete opposite to Lennon. I'm not sure exactly what Brown's role is supposed to be but he also does his fair share of headless chicken running. In the huns game, McCulloch sat in front of their defense and pretty much acted as an exra defender and we couldn't breach it. When the team was announced that day and it turned out we were going with two central midfielders I feared the worst

 

Kayal?

 

Kayal is more than a sitting mid IMO. I personally liked the def mid we had on loan and I cannot remember his name for the life of me. Again the fans were totally split.

 

N'Guemo. He was very good at times and very average at others.

 

Kayal is that man, need to see more of him, but he can sit and pass which is good

well lenny cost MON 6 million quid, and we signed him from the premiership.

name someone in the premiership as good as lenny who does a similar or like for like role.....and 6 million wouldnt be enough to buy him.
finance....pure andsimple finance......we cant afford the players we need to take us to the next level......which was the seville run and six two victories and five one victories over our closest rivals.

 

It's not necessarily to do with finance, the huns deployed a 4-1-4-1 formation against us with McCulloch sitting in front of the defence and it completely nullified us.
